Dead Space 3 Unlimited Resources Exploit Isn't A Bug, Won't Be Patched

Dead Space 3 players quickly discovered an easy way to accumulate resources in the game without paying a dime. You don't have to worry about Visceral Games patching out this exploit. EA says they included that in the game on purpose.

Yep, a little flaw they overlooked. Same with a few bugs mentioned else where that take advantage of the new save system - save and quit saves your inventory, but you're puts back at the last check point pretty much. Videos of people just looting stuff, saving, and reloading to loot them over and over again.

How is charging for additional content to cover the costs of development "nickel and diming" users?

Because -
A) the fifty bucks we pay covers that development.
B) game developers earn a lot more than most people think (80,000 USD is the average annual wage)
C) games have been releasing this sort of shit as 'updates' for years. Anyone who suddenly wants to pay for something they've been getting for free for years is an idiot.
D) we aren't talking about the devs of hotline Miami. This is EA so even though some devs genuinely do suffer for their art I can promise you these assholes are swimming in money.
E) you're a fucking idiot if you spend a couple of bucks to get something you can get for free by pressing 'restart from checkpoint'. Every moron who buys that DLC is confirming EA's view that we're ALL morons. That's why dead space 3 saves your game for you, explains its plot for you like a five year old who's proud of their macaroni art, replaces gameplay with cutscenes where you masturbate one button instead of *shock and horror* playing the actual god damned game. This shit we're all sucking on is the fault of everyone who just goes "IT'S OKAY THEY NEED MONEY - THAT IS MY THOUGHT OF THE DAY HERPEE DERP".

I just don't understand why there's always one guy supporting the billionaire assholes who have artists in cages. Why is it minecraft can make a game for one fixed payment but EA need 110 bucks to justify the development of a fudged and half arsed sequel like dead space 3?

I was more referring to DLC after the game has reached gold master stage. Do people expect a one-time fee of $60 and then the developer to pour resources into more content for free? No wonder the F2P model makes sense.

I find the amount of people who get butt hurt over dlc quite hilarious. You don't have to buy this dlc, in fact you don't have to buy any dlc. And who cares if someone does? It's not your money. If they want to make their game easier then fine let them. I will admit SOME dlc is wrong a la capcoms SF X TEKKEN dlc was really messed up but this dlc is just for people who want an easy game and I don't see anything wrong with it.

As they have stated already you can get ALL the dlc in game if you just play the game through. Only if you want to have it from the get go would you buy it. I don't see anything wrong with that. There are plenty of dlc types that should be free especially when your dealing with content that should have been on the disc. But EA is fine in my book on DS3 dlc.
