Edge:Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has stated that next-gen editions of FIFA and Battlefield are in development, and it’ll discuss the titles further in May.
We were expecting problems with mod support, but there are a lot of other issues.
Not accidental, they want modders to stop modding their older games to force them to mod Shitfield.
Over 14 GBs and doesn't change much at all? What? Taking up that much drive space for a pathetic 'remastering' is shameful.
Par for Bethesda.
LOL people are actually expecting massive improvements or something? From Bethesda?? the same people who released Skyrim multiple times and the all look like shit? THAT Bethesda? are people for real?
The ps5 version doesn't change a ton but from my small playtime it's enough to make me want to replay it just to have it running at 60.
A side note to this my PS4 version no longer boots after it's "update" so I guess that's what it feels like to own a Bethesda game on PC
A voice actor from The Coalition's third-person shooter series, Gears of War, has hinted at a new game announcement coming in June.
Hopefully Microsoft will go back to the original story line and get away from that woke nonsense from the last Gears game Gears of Woke! But were talking about Microsoft so all the betting money is on more of the same woke nonsense.
While many are fans of the Honkai Star Rail story so far, The Nerd Stash believes that the deaths of Robin and Firefly no longer carry much weight.
“We’re also investing in Gen 4 console technologies and content,” said Riccitiello, as part of today’s financial results. “We’ve signalled that we’re working on the next editions of our two biggest franchises in Battlefield and FIFA. And, we look forward to discussing these programs and many others with you when we provide our FY14 guidance in May.”- EA's John Riccitiello
well thats extremely telling about the next generation launch windows for either Microsoft, Sony or both if your able to use common sense. FIFA 12 launched on September 27, 2011, and FIFA 13 launched on September 25, 2012. also Battlefield 3 launched October 25, 2011. FIFA is an annual title and Battlefield has become a bi-annual title similar to the Call of Duty franchise depending on the game and developer.
assuming EA wouldn't push back or halt the release of an annual title like FIFA you have to assume then that at least one next generation console will be out a few weeks before or a few weeks after late September of 2013. if that wouldn't be the case, then why would EA talk about a next generation version of an annual title so early? you can then only conclude that Battlefield 4 will be out presumably sometime in late October of 2013. not only does this confirm by association a next generation console being out sometime between August-October 2013, but that also means one or both console manufacturer will have to at least announce their new console very very soon to start marketing.
this also bring up a good point, if the new FIFA and Battlefield will be talked about in May 2013, then if this is not yet an official announcement for those two games by EA's Riccitiello. then there must be an official announcing of those titles by EA or some other gaming related source prior to May 2013. this leaves one option, these two titles will be at least announced for next generation systems. most likely by a console manufacturer either by press briefing or press event. So whether its Sony or Microsoft, at least one of these companies is unveiling or announcing their console and announcing these two titles for the next generation platform.
@Blue_Flowers: I think during odd years (someone correct me if I'm wrong), MS holds this conference/hands-on called "X".
Last year they had a "Spring Showcase" on February 29th (or somewhere in the vicinity) and it was HEAVILY embargoed till March 5th (or somewhere in that vicinity).
Either way, whether they call it X13 or the Spring Showcase 2013, I truly believe both Sony and MS are going to reveal their next-gen offerings in February to start the official hype and then drive that train straight into full-blown E3 madness come June.
I would hope EA get's their shit together sports wise this time around. That is all I ask for.
Awsome. Next gen is gonna be dope
