I would crap bricks. Then proceed to ask why I ate bricks in the first place.

porkChop4118d ago

That would be amazing, but very doubtful. Though I would love a new Persona for PS3 and Vita.

we need at least one persona this gen

doogiebear4118d ago

It's been a long wait. I want like 3 new Smt/persona games. What took so long?

Whitefox7894117d ago

Well the Soul Hackers 3DS port has been announced for a 3DS NA release and Atlus is wokring on SMT4 on the 3DS. They've also been working on Persona 5 since Persona 4; its more or less they know we know they are working on it they just don't want to say anything.

Fuck Famitsu. They lost my respect when they teased a big, surprising story for MGS fans, right after The Phantom Pain was announced and everyone figured out it was a new MGS game. Then the next issue came and there was nothing. I think the only Metal Gear related story in the issue was a reprint of an MGR story. After that, fuck them. They've been making big teases every week now and it always ends up being a big letdown.

Batzi4118d ago

I have a feeling that this one will indeed be MGS related and will in fact be SURPRISING or confirm one of our assumptions about The Phantom Pain or Ground Zeroes. It's just a feeling. And I am not sure if you are aware but Kojima is in Dubai and is holding a press conference on the 17th(this month). We might get news then.

Canary4118d ago

My guess would be:

Metal Gear
Persona
Gundam
Macross
Dragon Quest
Final Fantasy

There's always the potential for a nice, big feature on Dragon Quest VII's remake, or news on Versus XIII. And Macross 30 is coming out in less than two months, and hasn't really had a -big- magazine feature yet. Same for Gundam Breaker.

Of course, (as is obvious) I'm tackling this with a PS3 focus. It's very possible their big article could be about a Wii U, handheld or even mobile game.

knifefight4118d ago

Are those really your guesses?

You know this magazine JUST said "surprise scoop on long-awaited game" about Kamen Rider, right?
You know that, right?

I would love to be wrong, but the chance of this being anything of the caliber you mention is...minimal, to put it generously.

Canary4118d ago

...I don't think you realize how big those Kamen Rider/SRW type games are in Japan.

knifefight4118d ago (Edited 4118d ago )

I don't think you realize how small of a scale it is -- even here in Japan -- compared to what you listed. Kamen rider will top the sales charts in its first week, little doubt of that, but it's not near anywhere those other series, save for possibly Macross.

But either way, I'll repeat the question. Geing completely realistic: do you actually expect the news to relate to one of the games you listed?

Mugen Souls Retro Review – Sexy Demon Space Adventure

Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
