Hey, N4Gers! We've been playing around with the idea of creating an N4G web show - N4G TV. The idea is to have a short news show each Friday that covers the past week on N4G by featuring news and user content like great comments and blogs.
We're at the point in the process where we are in talks with a production company, and so we are giving a lot of thought to format and content. We'd love to have some input from you guys on what you would like to see in the show!
Sound off below, we look froward to incorporating your ideas in the pilot episode!
An existing community manager for Helldivers 2 has acknowledged the 'unfortunate' departure of Spitz following the whole PSN fiasco.
From what I see on Reddit, a lot of fans also hate him... it is just a guy that like the stir shits up, it is not good for both the Arrowheads and the fans.
Wccftech discussed the recent Xbox news with MIDiA Research analyst Rhys Elliott, who pointed out that a strong upcoming Games Showcase could help a lot with fans.
I was hoping for something different from Coalition, not Gears 6 so soon.
Their expertise in UE development could've propelled them to try out other IPs using the new UE5.
But guess, given recent MS' state, Gears 6 was the 'safer' call for the studio. But still hope they venture other IPs or even other genres ... at least FPSs in future?
Why would people be less angry? If MS made it's own games instead of buying up what was already available then we wouldn't be in the situation that everyone is angry at.
MS is the problem.
Fuck MS and Phil. I already told that shit bag off on Twitter, if the dumb ass responds I highly doubt it, I will go off much worse. What a fucking disgrace MS and Phil are to the gaming community.
Akimbot is an upcoming sci-fi action-platformer that shows its inspiration from games of the past.
Personally, I'd rather the site be consistently functional first. Maybe have the forums work properly in Firefox for the first time in years. Give the hamster a break and buy some real servers.
Walk before you run, and all that.
General priorities aside, you'd have to find a way to separate yourselves from all the gaming podcasts out there, since that seems like what you're trying to produce.
While I find this to be a pretty interesting concept, I just can't wrap my head around having content featured. Would it be highest-temperature articles showcased in the episodes? If so, we users can easily read them ourselves since the highest temperature submissions usually make it to the top of the page. :)
It seems pretty redundant to have a recap, so to speak, of articles that a majority of the community has already read by the time the week's episode goes live.
The show could have users skype in and ask questions, comment, or something, that'd be cool..
I'd like to know the faces of some of the users around here eh lol jk.
lets see how it goes
Sounds like a great idea especially highlighting the user content.
Ideas wise maybe highlight a good free game of the week that can be either found by you or recommended by the community and show what it is about
A way to highlight forum post might be an interesting way to get more people involved in the forums
Having a "Troll of the week" section in the show would be fitting. :)
Jokes aside (not really), As Megaton stated - First get the moderation and functionality of the site working properly before widening your content channels. The forum is a mess, and trolling, spam and duplicate accounts are also a low point on N4G that hasn't been dealt with properly.
I also agree with Valenka. Instead of just repeating what everyone's already read why not have the editors pick their own favourite nuggets of the week? Tell us what games you've been playing and/or interview some interesting people from the games industry.
And give some props to the users who write reviews. Some of them are really good.
