What Is Your Gaming Shame?

GR: "I've already said on the podcast that I've never beaten a Metal Gear Solid game. I've also never beaten a God of War title. Most of my shameful inexperience comes from the fact that I didn't own a PlayStation console until the PS3. The same can be said of my short-comings in PC gaming experience."

I mildly enjoy CoD and Angry Birds. The shame!

Foolsjoker4161d ago

You mean that you don't actually play games, you just watch Youtube videos with a PS3 controller in hand.

alexcosborn4161d ago

That would be me...

Guilty!

Easy:

I never finished a GTA game, never played San Andreas, Hated GTA4 (not even 10 minutes playing the game).

Every time I see Gears of War, I think of The chain blades from Warhammer.

I think Sev from Killzone sucks because he's a back-stabbing, two-faced hypocrite (Rico told him to tell Narville to wait and he didn't, Sev told Rico to try to obey orders but when Sev was sick of following orders he disobeyed, but in the end Rico was right [when they took down the MALR]) and I love Rico because he has the "S" on his chest but he's human at the same time, he makes mistakes, but he mans up to them.

Haven't liked a Mario game in years; I sometimes call Mario fans Marionies (like bronies).

Thought resistance 3 was the best graphically out of it's series, but overrated in terms of story direction.

Thought Halo 3 was overrated too.
Halo 4 was the best graphically of it's series, too but it is also overrated.

Loves Uncharted, but thinks Drake's image is cliched.

I never won a Rock 'n' Roll racing game against real-life opponents EVER even though I played over 200 races.

I think Ratchet an Clank are probably the best character duo out there in gaming today, then Chief and Cortana, then (ironically) Sev and Rico.

almost threw SotC away until I took a final stab at it and beat it within 24 hours easily.

Didn't play GoW until the PS3 was almost out.

Almost broke my Demons' Souls disc in two because my 60Gb PS3 failed... never brought it in to be repaired in hopes I can repair it and finish the game. Bought a slim instead.

I have 46 days on CoD games online, 72,000 gamerscore, 16 platinums with one of them being dark souls. those are my shames :'(

pangitkqb4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

I spent $20 last week getting gems for Clash of Clans on my iPad. Never thought I would do that.

Final Fantasy games don't interest me, but it's such a recognized series I feel like they should and am always afraid my nerd-cred will drop by admitting such.

I own a high-end PC gaming rig...and am worried I can't figure out how to replace the graphics card. (I've done it before, but this is more complicated than my old computer.)

I consider myself a loving PlayStation fan, but strongly dislike how the God of War series plays - even though I appreciate the excellent visuals and tech behind it.

I swore I would never pay for Xbox Live again back in 2010. In 2013 I may break that promise.

I own at least 30 games I haven't played for more than two hours each. (Mostly downloaded titles on consoles and a bunch of titles on Steam.)

My only shame is that I am not good enough online to ever get 10,000 kills playing Resistance 3 online to get my Platinum trophy.

Dark_Overlord4161d ago

You mean Resistance 2 (God that trophy is a grind) :)

ftwrthtx4161d ago

You are correct. I did actually get my Plat on R3 but still need 9000 kills on R2.

ThichQuangDuck4161d ago

I never beat Shadow of The Colossus got to Colossi 13 and stopped on PS2. Got the game for PS3 and dont have a PS3 yet(was on sale). Really though in Shadow of colossus stopping is winning

Dark_Overlord4161d ago

My gaming shame? I have more games than I can physically play and so some sit on the shelf indefinitely :( Although I don't want devs to stop making good games :D

pixelsword4161d ago

You're a good man, a good, rich man.

mydyingparadiselost4160d ago

I've been there off and on for a long time. I'm thinking about just buying chrono trigger over and over until square enix does a remake :)

Foolsjoker4161d ago

I have a growing backlog of games that haven't even been opened yet, but I keep buying more.

George Sears4161d ago

I still have Max Payne and Arkham City GOTY in its plastic cover.

Awesome_Gamer4160d ago

Start playing them mate, both are amazing.

Review - The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I feel The Hungry Lamb is for a specific audience, though I can’t quite align with whom that might be. It’s not thrilling enough to land in constant VN recommendations, it’s got uncomfortable relationships which will put most people off, and the endings never hit the high note that satisfies everything. The twists are pretty recognizable from a distance, the voice acting is good, the character designs are alright and the pacing is decent. So many things rubbed me the wrong way and it makes it very easy to delete it from my PC concluding the review. Dive in if you must because of morbid fascination, but you’ve been cautioned: it’s a downward spiral without anything to make the trip worthwhile."
