Dishonored!!.. it's a shame that they didn't wait for Far Cry 3

showtimefolks4162d ago

they should let the fans vote for GOTY, Editors should pick the games let's say 5-6 games than fans vote out of those. If you let the fans pick the games than fanboys will pick system exclusives only even if it means a crappy kinect/move game

i hope either walking dead or journey wins but most like AC3

Why bother? These awards are already picked before people vote to begin with. They're just giving you the illusion that your votes matter.

I'll just wait for the youtube videos of trailers to pop up as usual. The show isn't worth watching to begin with.

Any evidence of what you claim?

Gah. The Spike Awards are a complete joke, that takes more into account the popularity of the games listed than their actual quality. They also lack imagination big time. For example, in the best handheld/mobile game category, they put New Super Mario Bros. 2 in there. Why? This year also saw Resident Evil Revelations and Kid Icarus: Uprising, which are much better games, but I guess they didn't think to nominate them because they're not as popular as Mario.

Their GOTYs mean jack shit.

Review - The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I feel The Hungry Lamb is for a specific audience, though I can’t quite align with whom that might be. It’s not thrilling enough to land in constant VN recommendations, it’s got uncomfortable relationships which will put most people off, and the endings never hit the high note that satisfies everything. The twists are pretty recognizable from a distance, the voice acting is good, the character designs are alright and the pacing is decent. So many things rubbed me the wrong way and it makes it very easy to delete it from my PC concluding the review. Dive in if you must because of morbid fascination, but you’ve been cautioned: it’s a downward spiral without anything to make the trip worthwhile."
