Here we see data representing the global sales through to consumers and change in sales performance of the three home consoles over comparable periods for 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Also shown is the market share for each of the consoles over the same periods.

This could be fun as they make great tables. Go big or go extinct. Prime your senses for a neural handshake and step into the cockpit of a Jaeger. It is on you to cancel the apocalypse when Pacific Rim Pinball comes to Pinball FX on May 16.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Wow! The Wii has suffered.
i dont think wii can catch up to ps2 in lifetime sales..
Ah VGChartz. It's fun to have a look at them every now and then, just purely for entertainment, to see how far their numbers are off from official data. Take the 360 for example. Last year they aren't too far off. They've got the 360 at 6.6 million to Oct 13th 2011, when Microsoft said 6.7 million as of the end of Sept 2011. This year, MS says 4.4 million up until the end of Sept, VGChartz's guesstimate has them at 5.1 million. So, according to Microsoft, 360 sales are down roughly 40% for 2012 when VGChartz only has them down a little over 20%.
Quite a dramatic drop when you consider the 360 had it's best calendar year ever last year. Even though it's no secret it's been on the market awhile, what console has ever in it's history seen it's best year followed immediately by a sales crash of 40%?
I don't know that it's ever happened before. The PS2 hit it's best year and the year after was down about 10%, down 3% the year after that and didn't really start dropping until well after the PS3 was released. The Wii peaked in 2009 and sales started to drop but it still wasn't the overnight plunge we've seen from the 360.
Anyway. Blah blah blah..vgchartz is a fan run site, they're in the ballpark sometimes, other times they aren't. Everyone knows what the score is, but VGChartz puts it best themselves in the terms of use.

So it is obvious that there are much more PS3 users than X360 (we have to remember failure rate of X360).
Probably by the end of this year there should be more PS3 sold than X360 and with that Sony for the third time in a row will have best selling console within the generation (offcourse Wii doesn't count as console this generation, it's different market just like tablets, PC or handhelds).
How is it that Microsoft can claim being "The best selling console" in a given year but the numbers don't support that claim? Its obvious that they haven't been the best selling console considering the Wii obliterated both and the ps3 has closed the gap.. Typical Microsoft PR I guess..
