Thank You, Metro: Last Light, For Not Shipping With Multiplayer

Kotaku: "It's kind of faded into the background now that most people like to focus their anger on downloadable content, but for me, multiplayer has always been the biggest problem with modern, big-budget video games.

It just doesn't, for many games, need to be there. At all."

I wish they would've shipped with multiplayer, personally.

attilayavuzer4225d ago

People who buy this game aren't looking for multiplayer.

WrAiTh Sp3cTr34225d ago (Edited 4225d ago )

Are you 100% sure of that? Lol...

On topic: THQ, why don't you sell the multiplayer suite you've been working on as a download. People that want the online can get it and people that don't, can play through the game a few times then trade it in and come back onto websites complaining about the people who wanted online...

Suit yourself. I will never purchase any game without multiplayer. Ditto!

paddystan4225d ago

Then you will miss a lot of great experiences. And you're arrogant.

pupa4225d ago

Tough luck, it's a gamers right to be arrogant, if you do not like it get of the net. (wink)

The competitive play in multiplayer is what counts, if you like zombie games then please do. I stick with my original comment. (stick out tongue)

TripC504225d ago

Multiplayer lengthens the experience only for competitive type games. Halo,COD,Forza. Where human vs. human interaction makes it more fun. Story driven games don't need it. Although games like portal 2 or that weird sand explore world game for PS3 were cool ways to have multiplayer (sorry cant think of the name). So I'm bummed it didn't try for multiplayer.

r214225d ago

Not sure if serious or not. If you are serious, you just missed some pretty great SP games like Dishonored, The Walking Dead ep 3 and 4 and X-com.

So you'll never play Bioshock, or any of the Legend of Zeldas to name a few, wow what a gamer.

"It's a gamers right to be arrogant"

Really? What planet do you live on?

Stick to your competitive multiplayer. It's your loss, and we won't miss you.

If there's nothing innovative or different in the mp, then I wouldn't play that mp.

IIC0mPLeXII4225d ago

Lol you've described pretty much all MP to come out in the last 5 years. Unless some consider the Assassins Creed MP to be innovative, still feels tacked on to me
.

RivetCityGhoul4225d ago

Assassin's Creed MP = Tom & Jerry Online. FACT!! anyone who says otherwise is obviously a fanboy.

Rupee4225d ago

Yeah good for them. Glad they didn't sell out like oh any EA game being released... Not every game needs it and not every game should have it.

Despair6664225d ago

They'll probably add it later as DLC

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco3393d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

anast92d ago

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.
