HiddenMission writes: I think by now it's pretty clear to all from the writing on the wall that Final Fantasy Versus XII will not come out until the end of this gen or sometime during the next. Mr. Wada has made it very clear that he cares less about the Final Fantasy fan and cares more about multiplatform titles due in part to the fact that they bring in more money. Yes that's right it's all about the money.

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.
Final Fantasy 15's director has revealed why he left Square Enix back in 2018.
Hajime Tabata famously resigned from Square Enix two years after Final Fantasy 15 shipped in 2016. In a special livestream at the time, Tabata announced his decision to resign from the company, cancelling three of four new story-focused DLC episodes for Final Fantasy 15 in the process.
Man inherited a train wreck and was expected to release this game in under two years after it spent a better part of a decade in development hell. At one point there was even plans to make FFXIII Versus a musical. He did what he could.
Whatever the behind-the-scenes went on over the many years, at the end of the day it was a radical change in direction that I could not go along with. Also why I never bought 16.
It's all about the money and making sure share-holders are happy with these major publishers
It's obvious this game is large in scale & they're taking they're sweet time developing it & probably with a small developing staff, knowing it's exclusive to the PS3 maybe that's another reason they're not focused on pusing it out so fast & Sony may not be backing the project so Square is not not so enthusiastic only Nomura is,but this is only my opinion.
He faps to lightning...or Hope
I get the feeling Wada is trying to put it off as long as he can so he can get them to put it on Next gen consoles because he knows the Nextbox will be more powerful to handle Versus so he can make FF Versus multiplatform without stripping content away from Versus like they did with FF13.
As the article says....
Multiplatform = More money and thats obviously Wada cares about...he would delay the game for this long just so he can see if theres a chance he can get it on the Nextbox AND the PS3/PS4
Thats my theory anyway
I know Nomura says he wants to keep it on the PS3 but Wada is still in charge, I wonder if Wada dosen't want to p*ss off Nomura so he'd rather wait untill next gen to do it. It's probably the real reason why he's decided to milk FF13 this long...so they still have an income coming in while they wait for Versus being completed and nextgen to come round
Why he delays Versus? Easy, to give people an excuse to buy the 13s.
