Okay, Skyrim turned out to be a hugely successful game and whilst I was not one of those people who jumped aboard the hype wagon, after playing it for a fair amount of hours and after completing the campaign found it resting amongst my collection of video games collecting dust whilst I moved onto another game.

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

Yeah. This pretty much sums up Dawnguard. It was just okay, especially given the amount of time it took to make and compared along Oblivion's DLC.
