CVG - Have gamers got too much power?

CVG - Soooo... Apparently, Mass Effect 3's ending is controversial because it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. And the fans aren't happy about that at all.

"Apparently, Mass Effect 3's ending is controversial because it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. "

Two problems here:

1) The ending isn't "controversial." Almost everybody agrees that it sucks. Conservatives and liberals, Palestinians and Israelis, Red Sox fans and Yankee fans, etc. can all find common ground in humanity's shared understanding that ME3's ending is an abomination.

2) Then reason why the ending sucks isn't because it leaves questions unanswered (although that doesn't help either). It sucks because it doesn't make any internal sense.

To be honest, we should expect such drivel from CVG. I knew as soon as I saw those initials that it would be something that made gamers look bad. That's about all they do.

They don't even touch on the actual reasons that people had problem, but instead apparently picked some changes a small number of individuals wanted to see and made them sound like they were the majority.

This is gaming journalism at its worst, and the amazing thing is that it seems to only be getting more popular.

Too much power my ass... more like

"are gamers getting taken advantage of now-a-days? With game publishers squeezing every gram of wallet out of the fans such as paying $60 for a game but, $5-15 for release day DLC that's already on disc plus millions of stupid DLC's that cost almost $5 for a helmet and $20 for 3 remake maps?"

At this point, we should be classifying ourselves as HUMANS and not simply gamers. We work our ass off to play $60 spring released games that suck ass so we can pay the companies so that they can make WInter holiday release games that dont suck!

not cool dude.

The only time we ever seem to have power is when we're in numbers... ME3 and BF3 boycotts are proof of this. ME3 had undersold (good) and EA gave into the BF3 boycott by making pre order only content available at a later date (notice how these are EA games).

No...no... Gamers can never have to much power after all WE are the ones that pay for the games. When we fight back against poorly made games we are the bad guys.... It is our right as a consumer to b!tch about games we think have ripped us off. Without us they wouldn't be around..... This whole generation of game have screwed us over if you ask me. The idea of DLC has made them make games less than what they should have been to begin with because they can make more profit later with DLC. I am one of those that will not buy DLC just for that reason. To me it is content that should have been in the game to begin with so why should I pay for it?

Coming up on 2 months since launch and there are still some dingus bloggers who haven't got the slightest clue as to why people dislike the ending, yet write with authority as if they do. So mind-numbing.
