No More Heroes developer still doesn't have a Wii U dev kit

Despite Nintendo making it clear that it intends to strengthen third-party support with the Wii U, No More Heroes developer Suda 51 has revealed today that he still doesn't have access to a Wii development kit.

Wah? Suda said a LONG-ASS time ago that he was going to put No More Heroes 3 on the next Nintendo system, so why doesn't this man have a dev kit yet? This disappoints me because I was actually expecting No More Heroes 3 to launch this or next year. Thought he was working on it this whole time.

I think a lot of people assumed this was the case. No More Heroes 3 could have been a brilliant launch title too. It's strange to think he hasn't even started working on anything Wii U related yet.

both NMH bombed on the wii, wasting time on the wii u would be a mistake, target audience just doesnt give a fuck about the wii, same thing happened with MadWorld, game was on the wrong console....so it bombed.

it will end up on ps3/360 wich is where the target audience is.

Though you say they bombed, and why yes, compared to titles like Call of Duty, the games did bomb, the "No More Heroes" franchise on Wii is actually his best selling franchise ever. His games are always brilliant, the problem is, they always lack that certain mass appeal.

Its not just about giving him a dev kit people.......he needs a publisher to support the game. Someone has to finance the project. Its not just giving someone a dev kit and saying sure go to work. You need a company to pay for the project/people etc and be willing to market the game. Having a dev kit means nothing without having people working with you to create a title and having someone say they will publish it.

I believe Ubisoft published the first two......if you want a part three everyone should be contacting them to show them you want the game.Contact the published...that's how you get a dev kit in Suds's hands!!

@CaptainN: I was gonna say the same exact thing! Its not like this studio approached Nintendo to do second party work for them. If they need to get with a better publisher to get games ideas made then that's on them... But 3rd parties are getting development kits, its the studios with the major HD games in demand though that are Nintendo's main priority! Skyrim, BioShock, Assassins Creed, any of the major Crytek and Unreal Engine games equal a lot of quality software that was missing from the Wii's lineup. These are the games Nintendo wants in their roster as well for the Wiiu
