Please dont say September we always get this games like 6 months after Japan does.

NBT914510d ago

Doesnt even "drop"... Sorry... In Japan until March, I would imagine September would be the earliest it will launch =( hope I get proven wrong though.

Ok.....so when is Kingdom hearts 3 coming out again?

EcoSos34510d ago

Maybe like 2 years after FF13vs, for PS4 and maybe WiiU I know Nintendo only have portable versions of KH but they may get KH3.

I'm assuming they will announce it not too long after this since the press release says it is setting up the story for the final chapter in this game.

Still waiting on Kingdom Hearts 3

SoundGamer4510d ago

From Square-Enix, "“With the tenth anniversary of the series on the horizon, the current KINDGOM HEARTS saga is approaching its climactic conclusion. The story of this game will serve as the opening chapter of the final conflict.."

I expect a KH3 announcement sometime in 2012. It's been a long time. But then we'll still have to wait 5 years before we actually get to play it :(

Looks like this game is pretty much Kingdom Hearts 3 Part 1, and then KH3 itself will conclude the story. Sounds to me like KH3D will see Xehanort return, and then KH3 will focus on the final battle against him. Either way, it does at least tell us that KH3 is at least in early planning stages in terms of plot.

What bugs me is why have "Part 1" on a Nintendo handheld then have the main game on the PS3

It's ridiculous, same happened with KH Chain of memories, you really had to play that game on the Game Boy Advance to understand what the hell was going on in KH2 which was on the PS2

These games are all over the place

Eamon4510d ago

^ Well, it hasn't been confirmed to come out on PS3 right? For all we know, it could be announced for Wii U? Although I do agre that putting these titles on different platforms makes it harder for fans to keep up with the story.

As for KH2 and CoM. At the time, GBA was the only portable console however I agree that CoM was a major title in terms of story and should have been released on PS2 (which they eventually did).

Wait, this wasn't announced yet? Thought people pretty much knew it was anyway lol. Doesn't matter, Japan always gets the better version with their damn Final Mixes.

NBT914510d ago

It was only announced for Japan officially before, this is just clarification that it is actually coming out. Along with a new trailer, that if I may say was looking rather fantastic...

Please bring Kingdom Hearts 3 already... How many damn spin-offs have there been again?

VampiricDragon4510d ago

Its hilarious that people actually think the ps3 is popular enough anywhere worldwide for square to develop 3 exclusively on the ps3 ( and assumign that it is)

In japan the ps3 is fourth or fifth on a good week.

Dream Drop Distance Derailed Kingdom Hearts in Style

While very flawed, DDD highlights why the series works as well as it does. Between a willingness to innovate and consistently strong character writing, Kingdom Hearts is never boring. The plot can derail itself off the tracks completely, but there’s still substance within the main cast.

Gameplay can be unrecognizable from title to title, but that’s exactly what keeps each entry worth revisiting. DDD is better than just another KH title. It has a strong identity and knows exactly what kind of game it is, for better or worse.

Dream Drop Distance didn’t have to derail Kingdom Hearts as hard as it did, but doing resulted in an unforgettable experience– a bridge to Kingdom Hearts III that’s as essential as it is eclectic.

Although not 3DS games, I would like to see the Golden Sun games and Chrono Trigger be released on the Switch.

Fist4achin1841d ago

Yes. We are long overdue for a remastered edition of both of those games.

King_Noctis1841d ago

Or give Chrono Triggers a remake. I would really love to see that.
