FruityGamers:
Has 2012 Been the Worst Year for Gamers in this Century So Far?
I once thought the release of great games came at regular intervals, with each year having five or six brought out during the Spring and Winter periods to go alongside our runny-noses and inability to do anything outdoors due to frightful weather.
TopSpin 2K25 Review - After a very long hiatus, TopSpin is back! Can Hangar 13 bring the venerable tennis series back to relevance?
Almost unbelievably, Days Gone has just turned 5 years old after launching on April 26th, 2019. What's changed in that time?
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I feel The Hungry Lamb is for a specific audience, though I can’t quite align with whom that might be. It’s not thrilling enough to land in constant VN recommendations, it’s got uncomfortable relationships which will put most people off, and the endings never hit the high note that satisfies everything. The twists are pretty recognizable from a distance, the voice acting is good, the character designs are alright and the pacing is decent. So many things rubbed me the wrong way and it makes it very easy to delete it from my PC concluding the review. Dive in if you must because of morbid fascination, but you’ve been cautioned: it’s a downward spiral without anything to make the trip worthwhile."
ummm...diablo 3, dishonored, halo 4, guild wars 2, torchlight 2, xcom, and countless other great games, with more to come like far cry 3 and hitman.
this year has been EPIC and loaded with great games
You're probably just feeling the current-gen fatigue. Good games did come out.. they were just.. to similar to their predecessors.
Journey, Gravity Rush, Tales of Graces, P4 Arena. P4 Golden today. More stuff to come. Not a bad year for me.
Was AC3 this much of a letdown?! Also, I don't believe that dishonoured was just more of what we see every year...
All in all, with games as ME3, AC3, Borderlands 2, Xcom, Dishonoured and Hitman, I think this was a pretty good year already in gaming - and there's still FarCry 3 on the way, right?
