Let Me Change My Console Controller Button Mappings

TCO writes:

"When you think about the age-old debate of playing games on consoles vs PC’s, your first thought is probably how much better games look on PC’s, but lately I’ve been thinking more and more about how I wish I could change all of my controller button mappings on consoles like you can in virtually every PC game. Whether it’s a hardware problem or a software problem, this is my request for someone to fix it."

Yea it's bullshit. It's rare that a console game let's you change the button mapping. I think the only one I played this generation that let you completely customize the button layouts was Midnight Club L.A.

Yea... a damn racing game...

Yeh I don't get it either. It seems like it should have been a standard in console games a long time ago.

Most RPG's let you toy around with it...I.E. Fallout, Oblivion, Skyrim, etc.

But yes, I have to say that it is quite annoying that most developers don't at least attempt to use the same controller mapping as others do, so you'll bounce from a game with way different controls to another with differences being quite obvious from the get-go.

Yeah I HATE having to use a face button just to run/sprint in GTA 4 and RDR. I wish I could put it as a shoulder button like in Saints Row 2, so that I can sprint without having to remove thumb off of right analog stick.
