Coffee Stain Studios

Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU. You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true! WASD to write history. It’s all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, or you could just give Steam Workshop a spin and create your own goats, levels, missions, and more! When it comes to goats, not even the sky is the limit, as you can probably just bug through it and crash the game.

Mini Q&A
Answers by Armin Ibrisagic, Game Designer and PR Manager

Why do you make games?
I needed a way to sponsor my expensive hobby of collecting disposable lighters

Why should people play Escape Goat 2?
I never said that.

What element of game design do you hold above all others?
Okay, let's get serious for the last question. I think innovation is by far the most important element, both for game designers and for the industry as a whole, if it's not to degrade to a state where every game is polished, well executed, but essentially the same. I read a lot of game design literature in college and I hated it, it always tells you how to design a game - games are art and there should be no order or "best practices" in art.

I can lick boats. Good enough for me.

This game seems really crazy and fun too me. I like unique games that are out there like this, these developers definitely have a cool sense of style.

Too bad you can't make the goat use disposable lighters.

At least you've got realistic boat licking action. :P

Any goat shaped disposable lighters?

The rumours on the new game sound awful

"A natural disaster strikes northern India revealing ancient emperor Ashoka's ruins and artifacts. Lara strategically races against a Society of Raiders and other rivals for these powerful relics. The Society of Raiders are inspired by Lara yet unaffiliated and might have some opposite agendas. This also relates to a new feature based on recruiting teams and allies to strategically aid you in missions and defeating rivals. There's emphasis on a new non-lethal combat option"

"Generic Ubigame" structure.
4 companions with their own habilities.
Open or semi-open world, not clear.
Lara would have a motorcycle, to make it easier for players to explore.
MMO elements.
5 villains, very stereotypical, including a rich man, a mob boss, and two brothers.
Familiar characters returning, Jonah Maiava and Kurtis Trent.
Lara will have a skill tree with spells.
The game is a mix of various trends and genres."

Like, do they even know what Tomb Raider is anymore. I hope it's all bullshit, not everything needs to be open world.

I really hope they do a remaster of The Last Revelation and Chronicles.

Half of this sounds like a promising TR game, the other half not so much.

Im just hoping for a TR game where Tomb Raiding is mandatory and not optional.

Sony the savoir of gaming based on comments on n4g.

I believe Sony wants to pump up those (monthly active users) stat for their next investor call.

I'd like for people not to support corps so blindly, they don't care about you.
