Last week Valve announced that they’re creating a brand new operating system, based off Linux, known as the SteamOS. Ever since there’s been a lot of confusion online as to exactly what SteamOS is for, what’s different about it and more importantly why it’s good. Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?
Because it will be an OS built for gaming its quite simple.
I think it is good for PC gaming. PC gamers will enjoy this a lot, and there will be console gamers that will have it easier to play on PC too.
Why would it be bad?
Hopefully it will be nice in a way that it will devote all resources to the game that is at hand, and the essential programs to run the OS/PC. Hopefully using the SteamOS you'll gain a few FPS from your games compared to windows or at least smooth out the FPS.
