It seems like each month, the 3DS gets more and more awesome games, doesn't it?

linkenski3861d ago

Indeed it does. I just can't wait for some more story-heavy games though. Dual Destinies is coming this month, and I'm really excited but I'd love to see a spiritual successor to something like Hotel Dusk or something.

Rune Factory and EO:U were at the top of my lists - looks like tomorrow will be a pretty great day

@WutangClam I agree. I remember seeing the psv when it was 1st announced and thinking it was going to be the handheld console to beat and even got it on day one but since then its all been about the 3ds for me its better than the DS and even my other half has got into playing on my 3ds so much ice just ordered her a 2ds so I can play on my 3ds when Pokemon x turns up and I think the console sales will go crazy for this games.
On a side not which would you guys say was the better harvestmoon game on the 3ds as my other half loves animal crossing and I was going to pick her up harvest moon with the 2ds but unsure which one to grab.

A New Beginning is the Harvest Moon game to go for.

mcstorm3860d ago

Thx for that I was thinking of getting that one but it is also hard to find but I have a month to find a copy for her.

it really does. Thats why I'm excited for 2014 cause Nintendo was putting big after big game out month after month for 2013. It makes me wonder what do they have left for 2014.

It's good to see Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward getting some attention. Although I played it on Vita, it's one the most engaging game I ever played. It's actually the only game I ever got a platinum trophy.

10 Video Game Sequels That Saved Their Franchise

Video game sequels like Assassin's Creed Origins, Doom (2016), and Fire Emblem Awakening were just what these franchises needed to be revitalized.

Immagaiden356d ago

Lmao what’s Halo Infinite doing on this list?

Who would ever say Halo Infinite saved the Halo franchise

SullysCigar356d ago

Thought the same - very bizarre!

RE7 though... my God, what a shift over RE6! That franchise was definitely going in the wrong direction, so RE7 was a welcome return to form.

ModsDoBetter356d ago

Resi 6 was and still is the worst entry in the series.
7 was a great turnaround, despite people’s concerned about the switch to FP perspective.

DMC5 definitely helped the franchise after the whole DmC debacle. Whilst it was a decent action game, it was a far cry from the series and the characters we knew.

AC Origins is my favourite in the entire AC series. Despite the switch to a more RPG style of gameplay - the setting, soundtrack, length, etc were all amazing. sadly followed up by the ridiculously long and “more of the same” Odsyssey.

I don’t feel it’s fair to say the franchise slipped with Doom 3, Doom 3 was incredibly atmospheric and took the game in a different direction but there’s no denying Doom (2016) was sensational.

Halo 4 & 5 were disappointing but Halo Infinite definitely didn’t save the franchise? What?

I'm going to have to go with SMB 3. I was around when SMB 2 first came out and people hated it. 3 is still arguably the best mario game created.

"Halo Infinite"? Worse Halo ever. Whoever made this list just lost all credibility.

Hofstaderman356d ago

In future lists of a similar nature I have a suspicion Final Fantasy XVI will feature.
