Eventually the Wii U is going to price drop and be cheap enough where it's a " I can't pass this up " kind of deal.

Wii U for $200-250 is going to look amazing to a lot of people within 12-24 months.

By then it will have a ton of games. It's a slow and steady race for Nintendo this year. They have the 3DS to offset that balance though.

Maybe I should of waited to get mine if it's now £100 cheaper. But still really happy with my purchace it's a really good machine, just lacking in 1st and 3rd party games

I agree I really like the console. I don't think it is lacking 3rd party games I have a bunch of them but they are on the 360 and ps3 to. They are lacking 1st party games at the moment but come the end of this month its the start of Nintendo 1st party games and there are plenty I want. Great price now though but im happy with paying release price to. Looking forward to the Xbox one next too.

Surely nintendo is losing money on all these unofficial price cuts? Ive never even heard of a retailer cutting the price so significantly until the wii u :/

Amazon would have already bought it's product from Nintendo. I assume these unofficial sales are for Amazon to clean out it's inventory.

It shouldn't directly affect Nintendo. Maybe indirectly though.

That's about the price I paid for it at Target in the US. I got mine for $230.

£149 is around $225 so this is a slightly better deal than what I paid a few months ago. Sounds good to me if you want to play a few of the exclusives having never owned a Wii.

You are a tad of margin. £:$ is not 1:1. Instead, it's like 0.87:1 and I do not mean exchange rates! I mean after tax and whatnot, that's what we pay for every dollar for items e.g., PS4 is £349:$399 which is roughly 0.87:1. This is a rough estimate btw I did in about twenty seconds

i know there is such thing as an exchange rate. all im saying is that this offer is not the same as the wii u being 225 dollars in the usa. to appreciate how good a price it is, you would imagine its 149 dollars.

255 pounds into dollars would be 385.13 US Dollars. but its pointless figuring out the exchange rate because for some bizarre reason the console manufacturers dont consider the currency differences. if they release a 300 dollar console in america, it will be released in the uk for 300pounds. not what 300 dollars would be in british pounds.

so im right. the offer is the equivalent of seeing a wii u in america for 149 dollars

Got mine for about £65 new here in South Africa , great at the price.
