Overall hardware sales increased by 36 percent week-on-week. Week-on-week sales are up for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, 3DS, and Vita. Overall year-on-year sales are up slightly. The 3DS is up 84 percent year-on-year and the PlayStation 3 is up three percent. The DS has dropped by 74 percent year-on-year, the biggest by percent.
Two games debuted in the top 30 this week. The Last of Us (PS3) debuted at the top of the charts with sales of 1.17 million units. The game launched in North America and Europe.
