I don't think Destiny needs to be "unique". I think it simply needs to be good. The quasi-MMO features (like meeting other fire-teams in "public areas" and encountering public events) seems pretty unique to me.

The coop-play with my brother is the main reason for buying Destiny, if you read about their influences on the gamedesign, you will be dissapointet. Let's cross the fingers.
