When Microsoft announced the price of its new console at a press event Monday there was an audible gasp from the audience of gamers and media. The US$499 price tag is higher than the $375 to $450 range that Ward predicted ahead of E3. Part of the reason for the premium is because the Xbox One comes prepackaged with a Kinect sensor. Its not just the price, its the games that have been shown, also ones we dont know about from companys we've yet to hear from, also its a more open system that allows its users a bit more freedom over the products that they have bought, if microsoft drop the used game crap then im in, not bothered by the 24 hour checks, though I do understand the backlash, so far sony are doing a better job of getting my money, in my opinion.
