I think we kind of all knew this already, they have probably been working on it for years now, and the concept probably started right after the Xbox 360 launched.

It does sound interesting, but my interest has been piqued for over a year now, we've heard every single possible rumor, rumors that directly conflict other rumors, and I'd just love some truth for a change. Thankfully it looks like we're less then a month away from those answers.

I think their is a chance MS will announce the Xbox Mini this May. And launch it just before or after E3. It would contain the current 360 SoC with an ARM SoC also for $99. Eliminating the disc will allow for a much smaller unit and further shrinking the 360 SoC(modified) will make it extremely cheap. That could be made at cost and used as a cablebox/DVR and have enough power to work on next generation Arcade and Indie titles.

At E3 they can then announce the 720 with the AMD SoC(ARM security core) and the a modified 360 SoC.
