NVIDIA Possibly Readying GeForce GTX Titan Ultra With Fully Enabled GK110 Core – Boasts 2880 Cores

Moving forward, NVIDIA would launch a fully enabled GK110 graphics card probably around 2013 or 2014 as speculated by 3DCenter. The new card is being referred to as GeForce GTX Titan Ultra, a name similar to its ancestor “GeForce 8800 Utlra” which featured tons of graphical performance but also came at a very high price.

Lol AMD's GPU crown is always short-lived. But without AMD, Nvidia wouldn't be pushing the boundaries, competition 4tw

steve30x4022d ago

No thanks. I will never spent so much money on a graphics card. Its not worth it.

mrkeith4022d ago (Edited 4022d ago )

It's just like buying a PS4 or Xbox. Well the LE edition. That $1000 price tag is just insane.

gamernova4022d ago

Nah. These cards alone are like 1000+ USD. And it is just the graphics component too. At least consoles have like everything you need hahaha but the power of a titan and this titan+ is ungodly. It literally uses the same tech found in the world's super computer in the US named Titan haha :D

mrkeith4022d ago (Edited 4022d ago )

True. Im still going to wait for the GTX 700 series. Hopefully those will be decent. Im not impressed much with these GTX 600's. My SLI GTX 460 is still holding up proper for the time being. I am liking though how it doesn't take much to power these cards. My GTX 460's are a power hog.

ninjahunter4022d ago

Lol, meanwhile im still rockin the 555m gt. XD i dont have enough fingers and toes to express how many more times powerful this is than mine XD

hellvaguy4022d ago

Mobile 555 card? Low settings & all effects turned off ftw.

Kurylo3d4022d ago

yea pretty much our consoles. lol

ninjahunter4021d ago

Actually Does 720p on high for almost all games, even metro 2033. I can even max out BF3 if youl believe it.

hellvaguy4021d ago

720p by pc standards is a very low setting: (1280x720). I think a lot of integrated graphics can even handle that.

Im going with you have no idea wtf your talking about if u think your maxing out BF3 on 1080p or higher resolutions since all but the best desktop card can only do that. U have an older mobile which is far less powerful. Anyways, the main thing is you have fun on it.

Pain_Killer4022d ago

$1000 GPU wars have begun.

GeForce GTX Titan - $1000
GeForce GTX 690 - $1000

AMD Radeon HD 7990 - $1000
ASUS ARES II - $1800

LOL this is seriously like the twilight zone......

I didn't even know the titan was incomplete...lol

I'll stick with laptops for now, they are more exp for sure...but they get enough of the job done to justify me not transferring my data back and fourth...and the travel positives.

660m @ 1230 MHZ ftw! :P

Either way its always exciting to see new cards come out:), when I'm done school i'll prob build a new Desktop:) hopefully titan 2 is out by then:D

I get awesome gaming laptop deals from newegg.com. Just wait for a refurb one to pop up. Ive bought about 4 of those over the past few years and all have been in mint condition. Best refurb deals are on ASUS laptops.

Last summer I bought a 17" asus, i7, 660M for $1,000 to give you an idea. Bad part is with all laptops, (except for sager/clevo and overpriced alienwares) is that you cannot upgrade the gpu's. Believe me I've tried.

kB04021d ago

yup unfortunately a true reality, thats why Im prob going to get a eurocom with a 680m(x) and upgrade it later:P
