PlayStation Vita Dungeon RPG Demon Gaze Might Crawl Its Way Overseas

Siliconera: Demon Gaze may be next on Kadokawa Games’ localization list.

The publisher filed a trademark for Demon Gaze in the U.S. for use with video games.

Experience, the game’s developer, made other DRPGs like Labyrinth Cross Blood Reloaded and Students of the Round.

The question is who will localize these titles? Atlus? Xseed? Aksys?

if it does i will buy a vita just for that lol

I heard the game is actually quite good so if it does make it over it will be a pleasant surprise. Hopefully MonMon (Monster Monpiece) will also get the chance to be localized.

I also love RPG. I dunno why Japanese assume all Americans love shooter games...

When certain shooters sell almost 12 million units, with most of those being sold in the US, it seems like a very rational assumption. I still love RPGs more though...

Been on my radar a while, it looks really awesome despite being a little pervy

A Look at All of the Turn-Based Role-Playing Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "If you ask the average gaming forum user, they’ll probably say that Vita was only a good place to play if you like indie games, visual novels, and of course Japanese RPGs. While I’d hope that readers of my articles have realised that the console offers so much more than this, it’s hard to deny that it built up an amazing ecosystem for role-playing games over the years, mostly spear-headed by the early release of Persona 4 Golden in 2012.

As a result of there being so many RPGs on Vita, I’ve had to split this article up. I’ll be looking at all the turn-based entries in the genre here and I’ll dedicate a separate piece to action-RPGs some time in the future. Please note – while I will be including first-person dungeon crawlers such as Demon Gaze, things like roguelikes (e.g. Shiren the Wanderer) and strategy games (e.g. Disgaea) will be given separate articles of their own further down the line."

10 PlayStation Vita Sales Success Stories

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "A recent piece of news doing the rounds revealed the PlayStation Vita’s top 10 selling games in the United States of America, and it makes for some grim reading. While Uncharted: Golden Abyss rightfully tops the list, it only managed to shift a little more than 400k copies in the States, which is low by the series’ standards and paints a dire picture overall given that it's above all other AAA titles on the list, including Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, and Ki llzone Mercenary (although it’s worth noting that this top 10 doesn’t include any bundled software, otherwise  Borderlands 2 would be at the top and Call of Duty at #2)."

I would think Uncharted Abyss and Killzone Mercenaries should be included in the list.

It's a lonely but fun place - Top 10 PlayStation Games Stranded on Vita Island

"When PlayStation Vita released in 2012, expectations were high as Sony's previous handheld (PSP) was quite successful even if it could never quite match with Nintendo's handheld juggernauts." - Tyler Hall from Video Chums

I would have added Killzone Mercenaries to the list. Overall, good list.

It’s not stranded until 2019, if people really wanted to get some great experiences out the way then they’d buy it. But there are so many stubborn people that made their mind up that won’t happen.

You can go on eBay, OfferUp it any social market place and get one from 70-120 WITH memory card and the games are dirt cheap. But I bet people feel like buying their 5th 3DS for 200 plus because of its color is better then checking out great games.

I guess it’s not always about the games

I could just never find one after I got a stable income, could find games all over the place though

rainslacker2019d ago (Edited 2019d ago )

Quite a few of the games aren't dirt cheap. Guess it depends on what you like though. The Japanese anime games tend to hold their value quite well.

One can get digital games pretty cheap a lot of the time, and if they were smart, they'd have added all those vita games on PS+ over the years, and have quite an impressive backlog when they get their system.
