...I kid I kid... lol yea this is definitely not coming to the Wii U. This game looks pretty epic and I've only played a few Metal Gear games. I played most of MGS3 which was my first, I played some of the psp version but didnt finish, I played half of MGS4 but didnt finish.

What important things do I need to know or do I have to rewatch EVERYTHING? Advice please.

Well Kojima said that the game will be released current gen when talking about Ground Zeroes and there was always a chance that TPP would be targeted for the same release. One of the major theories was that GZ and TPP were part of one game and another main theory was that GZ was part of or = Ground Zeroes. So what if it's this gen too? More people get to play it if it's cross gen and the Fox Engine has been made in order to make making things like this easier for KP.

He has never "officially" said it is this gen. All he said last year was that GZ was running on PC specs equal to PS3/360. But, even then, I call BS. He very well couldn't say it was "next gen" when neither Sony or Microsoft had announced new consoles. I'm going to assume he will officially say it's PS4/NextBox at E3.

It's GZ + Phantom Pain together. So the whole "Ground Zeroes is a prelude to MGS5" thing might still mean these are chapters in the game. (At least that's been my theory for a while.)

The Phantom Pain segments are the "main game."
And the official title is "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."

He has cultivated a talent that is not only rare in Japan but around the world. At this point I have no qualms calling him a world class teller of stories. He has this cool flair for both the technical and the over-the-top. I'm so f*ckin pumped for this game.

So far the only alleged platforms were PS3, 360 and (this last one I had only seen more objectively by IGN back around the time Ground Zeroes were being announced, so take with a handful of salt) PS4, neither really confirmed.

Try to play your Metal Gear Rising PC version in antecipation... You know, the one that has been promised since E3 2009... Oh wait! They had not released it yet, neither given a release date, in fact they simply avoid talking about it!

The lesson here is: unless you want Pro Evolution Soccer don't expect full games from Konami on PC. They may come (and I actually hope they do), but don't hold your breath.

Hmm, I find very peculiar that they have similar references to past bosses from MGS3. It seems as if in his comatose state, Big Boss seems to be having some sort of reoccurring nightmares that shows past enemies.

A Volgin type figure can be seen on the past trailer, and in this one it seems to be even more so. Then you see this man in a horse, which has a sort of authoritativeness figure, a reference to what his mind boggles up as The Boss?

So Ground Zeroes IS the Phantom Pain? Ack, that's sort of annoying isn't it? I was hoping that GZ and PP would be two separate games leading up to an eventual MGSV, or that GZ would be a prequel to MGSV The Phantom Pain. I suppose the latter would've stole GZ's thunder though, so it's probably best that didn't happen...

Still, it looks amazing nonetheless. Terrible choice of music though.

In regards to David Hayter not voicing Big Boss, It just dawned on me that Big Boss Had a different voice at the end of Guns of the patriots. Snake is rumored to actually be in MGS5. (Timeline wise its about time he meets snake leading up to Metal Gear) Maybe Hayter actually is snake and someone else is Big Boss? Cause it would be weird having the same exact voice actor interacting with one another. Especially clones nonetheless.
