EA has announced that Dead Space 3′s demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network “is being enjoyed by close to two million players this weekend”.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
Dead Space is amazing series, worth the cash.
I think the game will be good but it just won't be a horror game.
It'll be like RE5, which I enjoyed immensely. It felt more like a cheesy badass next-gen Contra game than a Resident Evil game, but it was good. I had a blast playing it with my friend and beating the game twice in one (very long) sitting.
I'm not the kind to dislike apples because they're not oranges. If the game is different from the past titles, it doesn't mean it will be bad. I approached DMC with that same mindset but it turns out the game was awful in my opinion. Not because dante had black hair, but for a whole lot of other reasons that made the game uninteresting. People should just judge games for what they are. The title that is slapped on it is not important.
maybe cause people are playing it coop.
Thing is though, the amount of people playing the demo doesn't equate to game sales.
I've played loads of demos in the past, but I haven't bought every game.
It is a positive sign however, but I just hope Visceral/EA stays grounded and appreciates its core fan base.
This is bad news for anyone involved with the game, as the demo was awful. Complete lack of tension and the action is standard fare. Loved the first two, but doubt this will even get a rent.
