Far Cry 3 Multiplayer No Vehicles- Bad Decision?

It appears the developers of Far Cry 3 have decided the multiplayer gameplay will not include vehicles although they are available in the campaign and the map editor. It appears vehicles were left out of multiplayer because the developers deemed them "hostile to teamwork." There has been an outpouring of response to this decision on the Ubisoft forums to include a survey. The game is getting great reviews and looks very promising but will this decision have a negative impact on multiplayer especially as we start to see some of the community maps being developed? It would seem there could be a middle ground where a limited amount of vehicles were available with a respawn delay but for now it looks like no multiplayer vehicles. Only time will tell if this was the right decision...what do you think?

Yes, but single player is good from what I hear. So go enough.

Yes, i agree, it's a bad decision i know but i don't really care that much since i'm a singleplayer-only guy, and the singleplayer is awesome, but i do understand how that might annoy some people.

I think the game will still be great from what I can see and read but this seems to be a hot topic in the forums. It also restricts the map makers on the size of the maps they can make because you obviously wouldn't want things to far apart w/o vehicles present.

"It also restricts the map makers on the size of the maps they can make because you obviously wouldn't want things to far apart w/o vehicles present."

THAT'S why most fans are ticked off, it's common logic. Why didn't they think of something like that when they decided to take them out.

Vehicles make online games exciting, it's why I would choose Halo over most FPS these days, because the vehicles are great.

That is the million dollar question. They could have set the limit of vehicles and controlled the spawn time interval so it didn't get out of control. Maybe they will listen to the feedback and come out with a patch?

Exactly, they can just have a different mode with vehicles, it wouldn't affect any existing playlists. I heard there's only 4 playlists anywayy so why not throw in a big map playlist with vehicles.

They can't just take out an appealing feature for the sake of "teamwork", i'm sure there's many ways to use teamwork even with vehicles.

I personally don't care for vehicles. They should have added mounts though...Like lions, or bears or sharks or giant turtles.

Hostile to teamwork? I would have used a vehicle for a diversion or transporting my team. It opens up more strategy.

Hehe, what was that map on FC2 with the buggy, like a refinery or something?
I recall I had a few epic chokepoint battles on that map, sniping the buggy driver etc.

very, very few games do mp vehicles right, bf2, bf2142, bf3, halo are the best imo
