"A lot of people wouldn’t consider a Call of Duty game to be ranked amongst the best single player campaigns of the year, instead dismissing it as a poor, generic shooter without any real substance. That can be true though – personally I thought that last year’s release, Modern Warfare 3 was a bit of a farce, filled with clichés and generic shooting sequences, never really hitting the right notes for me.
I thought that the first Black Ops campaign was great, however; filled with action yet keeping a really strong narrative, something which hadn’t been seen from the series since the brilliant Call of Duty 4."
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leap up due to summer sales
Wow, good games never get old I guess.
CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.
I thought the campaign was good in some places but overall fairly meh. I'd like to see a game focused on Strikeforce gameplay, which definitely needs improvement but does have potential. Online games where players lead a squad of AI against other people and their AI squads... could be 1vs1, 2vs2, hell go all the way up to average CoD numbers of 6vs6 or whatever it is... but make the maps bigger obviously. It would be like a more infantry focused version of Endwar, which I enjoyed and still play. I'd also like to see a dedicated zombie game from Treyarch. I seem to like their icing better than their cake.
