A new unofficial patch has been released for Gothic horror RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which can be downloaded at The Patches Scrolls. Among the improvements in this patch is the restoration of more than twenty sound effects.
Vampire games are making a comeback of late, and gamers hoping this is a new trend should look back at the 7 best vampire games ever made.
What is a list? A miserable little pile of scribbles.
A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.
No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.
I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is a cult classic that's finally getting a sequel, but what made it unique in the first place?
It may have been a mess, but Bloodlines' critical success goes to show that a well-crafted story and cast of characters can make even the worst games good.
I simply don't get it. We saw Twilight becoming a huge success, True Blood following the same path, and even the old "Interview with the Vampire" & "Queen of the Damned" becoming successes back then, but THIS game, which was the only TRUE vampire game hit of all time, never got a sequel or a dev to care about the theme. Point-and-click vampire games? Uff... that's what been released so far past years, and apart from Skyrim, never so good as what this game offered ever showed up. Be the vamp, suck people, rpg elements crossed with 3rd person gameplay, morality and powers, 3d world, choices, etc.. No wonder why there's people still caring for this game, even though it's old and outdated. This game is screaming for a come back and I bet it will sell skyrocket, with the proper advertise to reach people out there.
