Joey Davidson:
I’m at the beach on vacation! When I left my house, as most gamers do, I sat in front of my collection with two portables in hand and a ton of games to choose from. We’re tight on space, so I had to pick only three titles.
The rules for this post and my selection? I had to pick games that launched for either the Nintendo 3DS or PS Vita over the course of the last year. Anything else from any other platform, in my mind, was a no-go. My phone’s battery destroys itself in the constant search for service, so gaming on my mobile just wouldn’t suffice.
Cultured Vultures: Put on your freshest dungarees and chow down on the ripest mushroom as we reel off the best Mario games ever made to celebrate Mar10 Day.
My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.
GF365: "These are our picks for the best side-scroller games on PC. The genre was popular back in the day, and these modern games prove the genre is still alive and well."
Even if the eShop has now closed down, the best 3DS games are still worth playing — in any way you can get your hands on them.
Doesn't that mean you could pick any Vita game you wanted? I mean,it's only out around 5 months. And 3DS is just over a year old meaning, well, you could pick anything you wanted for that too.Your rules aren't very strict, you know?
I don't understand the concept either.
-Only 3 handheld games. I have a Vita case that holds 10 games and could just simply slip into your pocket, or the vita case it came with. plus it also has digital games, I have 4 on my Vita personally.
-I always just turn my phone on airplane mode if it loses signal. But I wouldn't call that gaming, so that would be my excuse to not using it, not the service thing lol
Yeah , the vita carts are so thin and light (another advantage over the 3ds) , you can carry plenty with you if you want. The only restriction you have is time to play really.
If you need videogames on vacation for anything more that the flight, you're doing it wrong.
