DOOM 3 BFG Edition Release Date Announced

DOOM 3 BFG Edition, which includes DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, finally has a release date.

Oh man. I can't wait. I'm a huge Doom/Quake fan. I had Doom on the original Xbox. The HD facelift and new missions will be great. Carmack rules.

I played doom 3 on xbox and I loved it, but it was kind of crappy compared with the PC version. I can't wait to play it again.

It wasn't just the graphics. The Xbox version had most of the levels made more linear due to hardware limitations, and even entire levels in the middle of the game cut out.

The beginning opening sequence was turned into a cutscene, while on PC you start playing as soon as the ship lands. I couldn't imagine not playing the PC version.

This is fine and all but all of these games are already playable on my 360.

Doom 3 and the expansion packs for the original xbox are backwards compatible
if you bought the limited edition it also includes doom 2, which is also bc

also Doom 1 and Doom 2 are available on xbox live

anyways good edition for those who do not have them. The other benefit I guess is the achievements.

The xbox version had alot of stuff cut out, plus your getting new levels(The Lost Mission), Updated graphics, New Sound(5.1), HD, 3D, its not going to be the same as xbox version.

Yes can't wait to play this game I remember playing doom on my cousin's pc in the early 90's I believe very scary game never got to finish doom 3 now I get a chance!!!

I'm very VERY excited for this. I have the Xbox Doom3 in the special edition Tin Case. I never got around to beating it. But now this is just perfect for me to play again and actually finish. Not too mention DOOM 1 and 2? That's the complete collection right there. I'm SOLD. Day 1 for me. On Xbox 360.
