listening to this guy go on and on and on about this horse is giving me nausea. I do not give a multi coloured turd about the horse and how it feels, I want Black and White without kinect

buddymagoo4636d ago

No matter what, it will never top the feeling of losing your horse in Red Dead Redemption. I nearly wept.

Godmars2904636d ago

What about the horse in SotC?

MaxXAttaxX4636d ago (Edited 4636d ago )

Hmmm SOTC :)

buddymagoo4636d ago

Very good point Godmars. I feel ashamed.

newleaf4636d ago

spoiler much? Thanx alot

JohnnyMann4204636d ago

LOL I shot my horse 20 times in a gameplay session.

buddymagoo4636d ago

newleaf

Don't worry no spoilers, it's up to you to look after the horse which makes it even more upsetting if it was to get killed.

give us a real fable game(no offense kinect users/fans) and this time listen to the feedback from the community. Not only that but give us a good storyline for crying out loud.

JohnnyMann4204636d ago

And bring back Jack of Blades for godsakes. He was the only real End Boss of the series.

And Please let us finally kill Reaver!

AAWELLS094636d ago

I dunno i hate to say it but i get the feeling that this game is gonna reak of mediocrity. Thats a bummer as i was hoping that the next Fable game would be the best one yet as they seem to get better with each new edition. We will see i guess.

WhiteLightning4636d ago (Edited 4636d ago )

Watch the game flop and there will be a load of excuses from him

I wish Lionhead wasn't an exclusive studio, I want to see him make a game for another console and see if it's him or Microsoft not giving them enough freedom that makes his games not live up to his "creative visions".

gamingdroid4636d ago

"This is exactly like the mid-Eighties. When the Amiga came out you were playing with the mouse and people said, ‘Ugh, it’s the worst thing for gaming!’ It took a little while for the developing community as it was then to start experimenting with that, and out of that came Wolfenstein, Doom, RTSs. Before that it was just a joystick and those experiences weren’t possible on that, so it does take a while for us to get our teeth into it. And that’s why some core gamers may be saying they don’t want to play it, as there’s no example like that."

Baka-akaB4636d ago (Edited 4636d ago )

he keeps repeating that , and it keeps being a bad example .

For starters the lacks of acceptance and refusal wasnt as big as what he's claiming in his PR campaign /politician speech .

Also so far , those new controls proved very quickly to be enhanced and simplified controls schemes over the previous ones .

How is kinect proving so far simpler for regular games ? So far everyone is just trapping themselves into rail based tech , or immersion based extras .

We have like one genre truly benefitting from it , and simplifying its controls , while keeping its integrity : dance/fitness games

Kinect has been out 9-months.

How long has controller based games been out for?

How long ago did we actually get a working controller scheme for FPS? How long did we hear the FPS won't work on consoles as it wasn't accurate enough?

To dismiss something simply because one can't see it, is nothing but shortsighted and ignorant.

‘It’s been really painful’: Ex-Lionhead devs explain why they’ve announced, and shelved, a new game

An independent UK developer says it’s been forced to announce and postpone its game on the same day, and lay off more than half of its staff, due to the sharp downturn in investment in the games industry.

Peter Molyneux's new game is set in Fable's Albion

Project currently codenamed MOAT.

JusttJD0099194d ago

M.O.A.T

Misleader of all time?

jznrpg194d ago (Edited 194d ago )

It’s between him and Phil. I’d vote Phil

Obscure_Observer194d ago

"It’s between him and Phil. I’d vote Phil"

If Phil were the man that made my life miserable, I would vote for him as well.

Regarding the topic, it could be both Peter and Phil working together.

M.O.A.T takes place in Albion, so it´s possible that Pete is working on new partnership with Xbox, which imo, is nothing but great news!

GhostScholar194d ago

What exactly has Phil mislead about? I can’t wait to hear the verbal diarrhea you come with.

Cacabunga193d ago

Still waiting for Milo and Kate.. most lmao game OAT

Becuzisaid194d ago

Wait.

His name is still used as a selling point for new games? Seriously?

jznrpg194d ago

If anyone knows his name you have to be extremely skeptical that what he delivers will be anything like what he says it would be and that’s best case scenario.

RaiderNation194d ago

He's like the "Tom Clancy" of video games.

InUrFoxHole194d ago

Lol what the hell man?!?!?

Number1TailzFan194d ago

I remember Black & White (PC) but other than that I can only think of Fable, B&W was a pretty cool game tho at the time.

sagapo194d ago

Populous was another one designed by Peter, released before B&W, godlike game as well, pretty good too.

Giblet_Head194d ago

I quite liked Magic Carpet growing up.

Obscure_Observer194d ago (Edited 194d ago )

"His name is still used as a selling point for new games? Seriously?"

The guy is a gaming legend for gamers who actually knows and played his games, like Dungeon Keeper, Populous, Black & White and Fable for example.

Becuzisaid194d ago

I'm certain that most who actually know who he is would contest your use of legend. He's the living, human embodiment of false advertising.

Obscure_Observer194d ago

@Becuzisaid

There´s an abyss between false advertisement and bad games.

Most gamers will get excited for games from great gaming creators rather than focus on their exaggerated promises.

Kojima described his Xbox exclusive game as "very unusual like no one has ever experienced before, leveraging the cloud." He said all publishers he presented the project, called him mad and rejected his game but Microsoft, because it´s too crazy.

Is Kojima exaggerating? Obviously. It´s gonna be a bad game? Hardly.

Imagine a game where Peter Molyneux presents an extraordinary set of ideas that players will enjoy for years to come. Now imagine that this particular game will come out because it will never exist.

Profchaos194d ago

Does Milo live under a bridge there

shinoff2183194d ago

Captain overseller is returning. Ain't heard his name in years.

shinoff2183193d ago

Peter was overselling games way way before cdprojectred, and bethesada

Peter Molyneux has high hopes for Playground's Fable

One of the biggest reveals at this year's Xbox Games Showcase was the latest Fable trailer. After a lengthy stint of silence, Playground Games gave us a look at bits of the title, albeit in a trailer that was mostly made up of CGI nonsense headlined by comedian Richard Ayoade, who is playing a rather frustrated giant.

Molyneux asked about what he thought about the Fable reveal.

Damm thats a name I haven't heard from in what seems like since forever.

Nebaku296d ago

And we thank the lord each day.

Michiel1989295d ago

he actually was in the news every now and then with a (couple) scam games he made

Double_O_Revan295d ago

The exact same thought came to mind when I read the headline. It's been so long since we've heard his lies and over ambitions.

A failed hack designer has high hopes for Fable lol incoming flop confirmed!

Godmars290295d ago

Well, he's not associated with it. Giving interviews talking about features never at any point mentioned with devs let alone introduced.

It might have a chance.

Godmars290296d ago

Peter Molyneux: Hideo Kojima minus ability and skill.

Godmars290295d ago

Think you mean ethics.

Also, whose defending Molyneux? Wasn't his last game a literal ripoff with him offering a prize but not giving it?

KwietStorm_BLM296d ago

I wonder if those hopes are higher or lower than Milo?
