Is that John Noble? Rockstar bagged a freaking amazing actor there.

dedicatedtogamers4947d ago

Yep, it's John Noble. L.A. Noire is looking to be shaping up like a really, really great detective game with all the great actors, tech, setting etc.

KiRBY30004947d ago

i would like to see the tech in motion. i hope LA Noire doesnt suck like Mafia 2 did.

GWAVE4947d ago

Mo-cap is pretty much necessary to create a believable 3rd-person game. Once you've played a game like Uncharted 2, the animations in everything else looks clunky.

just because of him! Love him in Fringe.

Pennywise4947d ago

haha! Freakin love that show!

He plays the two forms of himself so differently. I love it! He does look more like Walternate in that pic.

Double_O_Revan4947d ago

dont care which version of Walter it is, Noble is amazing!

We've been hearing from articles about how "amazing" and "revolutionary" games like Agent and L.A.Noire are gonna be, yet we've seen diddly-squat from either game.

What's the dealio Rockstar? And where's my Midnght Club sequel?

pr0digyZA4947d ago

Fringe ftw. Noire gets my vote even more so now.

Shield4947d ago

Fringe is an awesome show. I'm crazy about Olivia Dunham. She's HOT! :)

John Noble is a brilliant actor, I'm a fan.

It's good SLI is dead and buried - and my wallet agrees

Kevin writes: "Multi-GPU gaming was one of those things that seemed like a good idea for as long as it lasted. I mean honestly, the idea of a modular approach to graphics upgrades – be that SLI or CrossFire – was brilliant. I repeat, the idea was brilliant."

darthv722d ago

Im old school... when i hear the term SLI, I immediately think of 3dfx. I still have a pair of 12mb Monster V2's in an old rig. I never tried out the more modern take on SLI or Crossfire for that matter.

Vits2d ago

I mean, it was mostly for bragging rights. It was a very temperamental tech that improved with newer iterations, for sure. But folks like myself, who have used it, probably recall that troubleshooting was an integral part of the experience and the value that you got out of the setup was really low.

However, none of that mattered because it looked sick as hell on a well-built PC.

babadivad1d 7h ago

It really did look amazing.

Wretchedstain1d 15h ago

I remember doing my research at the time 😂 I got 2 GTX 460's, as they in SLI were meant to be better than the 480 at the time. Not all games were optimised at the time, which meant some games meant setting them up for 1 card alone. Never forget the time I came home from night shift, turned on my computer like normal, went and made a cuppa, come back and it was still off. Tried to turn on again, and one of the 460's caught fire... good times.

shaenoide1d 14h ago

Why ? For the price of two SLI cards you only get one RqtX card now...

OpenGL1d 10h ago

Exactly what I was thinking. When SLI was around an Nvidia flagship card was $700, less than half the price of their current flagship.

Our favorite midrange CPU for gaming has over $200 off and it has never been cheaper

If you're after a powerful midrange processor for your gaming rig, this AMD Ryzen CPU could be your best bet now that it's 35% off.

The industry model and standards and who's in place to approve/disapprove have changed ^ what Keoken is feeling now is much like the Mobile burst 15 years ago. Expect more to come out of your own finances. Investors are treating games like movies and now (thank$ a lot for involving yourself hollywood) only the big (and money blind) investors get involved, effectively killing a lot of content that would come out with proper non-gate-kept and/or with incentivized funding.

Markdn3d ago

And when you only make a fraction of your games worth on gamepass you suffer

Tacoboto3d ago

Palworld and Manor Lords are so suffering.

RiseNShine3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

Sorry but i couldn't care less, Deliver us Mars was as woke game as they come, climate change disaster, all female cast plus only a comic relief indian guy (it takes only 5 minutes into the game for the main female character to say how smart she is compared to the guy), evil white guys, ugly females, then add generic gameplay and puzzles (how many times do you have to cut things with a laser for gods sake), you can't change anything in how the events develop so 0 agency in the story, sub par graphics even while using UE4. So well, go woke go broke, that's how it works.

Miacosa3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

That stinks but with a 68 average critic rating on their games probably made it difficult for people to invest considering there is a bloat of games getting made these days.

ROCKY283d ago

You guys will be back with team strength and funding !
