Growing up with the Star Wars movies (the original ones) was a blessing for sci-fi nerds since it gave fans a galaxy of adventures and action where the lives of millions depended on the destiny of a single farm boy. Yes, Star Wars was amazing to watch, but it was even better to play in a video game. Over the years, Star Wars has released dozens of games ranging from RTS to fighting and RPG to adventure. Of course there have been some bumps in the road, but overall one can find hours and hours of good gaming with the Star Wars games
GF365: "These are our picks for some of the cheapest Nintendo Switch games worth playing. In this list, I will include Nintendo Switch games that are under $20."
The Dark Forces / Jedi Knight series was a pivotal moment in the Star Wars gaming franchise. Released between 1995 and 2003, the games brought new stories and characters to the Star Wars universe, all while revolutionizing the first-person shooter genre.
These games are crazy nostalgic for me… those FMVs… I can almost smell the computer room in my house growing up.
Knights of the Old Republic II has been praised for its complex characters, engaging story, and deep exploration of the Star Wars universe. It is a game that has stood the test of time and has become a cult classic among fans of the series.
A still waiting for them to update the Switch version. And also add in the Restoration Mod content. They teased it around launch, but the bug issue probably delayed that.
Great article. Keep up the good work.
Interesting, I've never heard of that Jedi Academy. I'm not big on RTS and I'm actually kinda sick of Star Wars games, but that looks kinda cool.
Those games on that list were okay (corection: KotOR was awesome).
However, the ones that really stood out to me were the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series. They really managed to capture the feeling of the movies while neither being too arcady, nor too hardcore. I sure hope the rumors of resurrection are correct. I'd love to put on my virtual helmet (ooh... TrackIR support?) and climb into the c0ckpit of a snubfighter once more.
(lol - you can't spell c0ckpit the way it's supposed to. Fail filtering FTW)

Dark Forces was a great SW game too
