The most egregious I have seen was one that spoiled the end of Red Dead Redemption 2 for me. It was a couple days after release and the title was something like: “How to play as John Marston in Red Dead Redemption 2”.
Smh.
Can’t say I would’ve taken it. 😬
I find the Xbox achievement notifications to be over-animated and distracting. I usually keep them turned off. I like the simpler style of the PS trophy notifications.
I’d assume it’s the whole game. The full game is already on Oculus. But RE4 is a third person game first and foremost. This is not like RE 7 and 8 which were designed as first person games. VR will always be a secondary experience.
Yep, all development funds were diverted to this project. Billions of dollars funneled into the Oreo Xbox Series S. What were they thinking?!
You’ll probably want to go anywhere else on the Internet if you want to have a serious discussion about this. Anywhere but N4G. This is not where you go to have grownup discussions.
It’s just like calling a new Rockstar or Naughty Dog game a GOTY contender without playing it. It’s a pretty safe bet based on these studios’ reputations.
Bethesda’s record includes Fallout 3 with 60+ GOTY awards, Skyrim with 230 awards (and a 96 Metacritic), and Fallout 4 with 58 GOTY awards (even going up against Witcher 3). Of course people are going to be out of their minds excited for a new Bethesda IP.
I’ve been playing this on my Series X with a PS2 emulator and it brings back so much nostalgia. Still my favorite Burnout! But I’d definitely love a remake.
I didn’t even realize Atomic Heart and Wo Long were on Game Pass. What a nice surprise - both were games I was hearing about and wanted to try out. Recently I’ve only been using my Series X for emulation. I’ve got to check back in on Game Pass.
Yes, it won 73% of all GOTY awards handed out for 2022. Most awarded game ever, by far:

I just started playing GT7 again after briefly having tried it around release. Briefly because I just couldn’t get into it. I know my opinion won’t be popular here, but the racing felt sterile and lifeless, and I was very put off by the horrendous UI/convoluted menus.
Now the UI still frustrates me but I put up with it because the racing is so immersive in VR. It really has transformed what I considered a boring game into something exciting.
This game looked nowhere near as impressive as I was expecting and the nausea hit hard. Really enjoying GT7 though and not a tinge of nausea with that, even after a 2 hour session.
This sounds like how Microsoft reports on their games’ performance. Rather than sales numbers, here are some meaningless stats.
Thanks for the reeeeeview, GameSpot.
I’d rather them focus on GTA VI. What game has Rockstar developed that was a cash grab? The closest thing I can think of are remasters, which is exactly what you’re asking for! RDR2 is proof enough that Rockstar still cares about making an incredible single player game. I remember people being worried before release that they would be more focused on the online component as a cash grab, and clearly that was not the case.
GTA VI will come out and set the bar for open world g...

This article is not about sales.
Reading the reviews might help, instead of just looking at the scores.
While it has a back catalog, the main draw of Game Pass are the new games that launch day one on the service. Last year, several games released on Game Pass that won multiple GOTY awards: Immortality, Pentiment, Vampire Survivors, Plague Tale, Citizen Sleeper, Norco, and Tunic. And people called that a slow year for Game Pass.
It would not be unprecedented. The RE2 remake did take home the most critic’s GOTY awards in 2019.
