VG charts isn't going to be that accurate, because their data collections are likely under-funded and inaccurate as well.
Does it even matter?
The whole point of line graphs... is to show TRENDS. If the numbers are off a little then anything that can be understood from the graph will only be a little more or less exaggerated.

If ps3 games like RSvegas and oblivion (Both of which received some serious TLC while ported) only come up marginally better because of minute differences...
Well... then the ps3 is still somewhat disappointing. It should have been outperforming the 360 since day 1... not just 2 matching titles 9 months after launch.

These events actually happened and these games ended up on the 360. The only place that i really think a bias would have an effect is when the author starts talking about MGS4 coming out on Ps3... which i heavily doubt.

I think #4 is the most important of that bunch.... if it could be proven that the Ps3 is capable of better graphics as sony had promised then the sales would start to pick up.
But the sleeper-hit sony needs to happen sooner than later is for Blu-ray to become popular, and accepted as the new standard. once this happens the price will be more than justified.
Just a thought however, i am fairly sure that the ps3 may not ever surpass the 360 in the graphical departm...
Ya it sucks that 360 games are SLIGHTLY better than ps3 games. But....
Blu-ray is just now starting to take over and fairly soon the included blu-ray player is going to be a major plus to every ps3 sold.
Hell the ps2 had horrible graphics compared to the xbox and it still managed to have great and entertaining games.
I think you can argue that the the consoles are very similar in power....
but i think what motivates Firstknight is that a game ported from a supposedly weaker system SHOULD be noticeably better on the stronger console.(think ps2 to xbox ports)
people keep pointing this out because the ps3 hasn't turned out to be as "MEGA" as it was hyped up to, and continually defended as.
the 360 will likely continue to outsell the Ps3 despite it's unreliable hardware.
Sometimes i find myself forgetting that there is only a small group of people that are as well informed as I (or other n4g visitors) am, and most people probably wont hear this much about 360 hardware failures.
I am on my 3rd 360 with my recent one lasting over a year now and i rarely even mention it to my friends. But i do play me some mean Rainbow six vegas!

It's empty speculation, and opinions like this are really no more valid than the opinion's of people commenting on this post.... just because something is written up in article form doesn't make it true.
all people really want is to know which version to buy, and a winner to be declared.... Man its going to be a long time before there is a blu-ray attachment for the 360....
Sony needs that sudden jump in console sales NOW!. the longer they wait the more of a chance there is that that would be ps3 owner will give up and go to a 360 or a wii.
Not only that, they need to drop the price because everybody thinks they will... if they don't they will be handicapping their own console while everyone just keeps waiting and waiting.
im about half-way through doom 3 and all i can say about it is that it kicks ass.. I heavily disagree with the idea that Id software killed their franchise with doom 3.
and btw, this came from the very same IGN that gave Doom 3 a 9 point somthing

Kill zone 2 looks like a game that just might get me to buy a ps3 (well see)... i like the whole storyline to it.
