Good point, they (360,ps3) intentionally sell the systems at a lost so they can later recoup the money through software sales.

I totally agree with you there guy... the 360 continues to release quality titles for its consumers and deliver an enjoyable experience... and because of this it will continue to be successful.
and if you just happen to get a bum console they will replace it with no cost the the consumer (although probably pretty annoying).
I dont think that im Japanese enough for this game. That whole second half of the trailer with raiden's fight scene was incredibly lame.... its like dragon ball z with pistols and knives.
Killzone 2 on the other hand still has me drooling.... if only it were coming to 360 sniff....

apart from all of the good news to be found on this site... there are some incredibly opinionated and unfounded articles that just get approved because it roots for whatever console the particular contributor likes.

All i have been hearing about since ps3 launched, is how Sony loses upwards of $200 on every console sold... and that sony does this knowing that they will eventually start to make profits off of software sales once a large install base had been reached. Not only that... the ps3 has had a low attach rate for games (which should change this fall).
All of this being said... im surprised that Ps3 is making a profit already.

HD PLAYBACK - Nice if you have a HDTV but if you happen to be middle-class enough to be one of the ~80% of Americans that don't own an hdtv then its a $200 dollar rip off for something you cant use.

even though im not much of a sony fan, i would have no choice but to buy a 20gig ps3 at $399... that would kick some serious ass
other than that.... its pretty hard to fill up my 20 gig 360 with content that i actually want to pay for.
So lets recap..... Sony took away the consumers ability to own a ps3 for $499 shortly after launch.... and then gave it back half a year later and now its supposed to be some sort of magical announcement?
well seeing as i kinda live in America..... i could care less about console sales in japan.... the 360 is still leading the Wii by 3 million consoles in THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN.... and thats just about all i, or most of the people who come to this site should care about.
