IMO, there's no such thing as "too realistic" graphics for a game. The more life-like, the better. Personally, I think our current game graphics are not even close to being "too realistic". The dream was to, one day, play a game which looks as close to real-life as possible. I think we're about halfway there.

As much as I'd like to be optimistic about this game. "multiplatform" smells of console compromises, graphical limitations, gameplay simplicity, unoptimizations, etc. That is why I said it'll be more like BC2 than BF2.
NAH. It's gonna be more of a BC3 game rather than a BF3. Just like Crysis 2 looked more like a Halo game.

Great. But I'm still not buying this game. The keyword here is "multiplatform" and that is the killer for me. They can drop DX9 all they want but consoles are still going to be the dead weight, all sources of imbalance, unoptimization, lag issues, environmental constraints, graphical ceiling, etc.

Are you kidding me? This is nowhere near a maxed out Crysis. And if we're gonna compare mods, then I assure you no game has ever come even half-close to challenge a modded Crysis visuals.
