I disagree with Tomb Raider (2013) coming and doing all these amazing things for the industry. There have been several females leads after the ps1 version and before Tomb Raider (2013) that were strong and likable women. I don't agree that a character NEEDS to be realistic to be likable and relatable.
Look at Spiderman and Ariel (Little Mermaid). Peter goes through a hellish life, but people like spiderman more than Peter. Both of his personas are also human and the event...
I'd Add a fighting game onto that list. Like Soul Calibur or Dead or Alive. Both have a really easy learning curve and DOA has an excellent tag mode. I'd also add Smash bros and power stone on there too for the same reasons.
Yeah same here. Remember Dino Crisis and N64 Turok? good Dinosaur times...
PRIMAL RAGE!!!
Primal...Rage?
Carnage? Story? Oh...It's better than another crappy zombie game at least.
My list for a reboot/Remake goes like this:
Xenogears: COMPLETE! <They didnt have time to finishthe game, that's why disc 2 seemed so rushed. I'd want them to go back an complete it if they made a remake.>
Chrono Trigger
Legend of Dragoon
Terranigma
Soul Calibur: I'd like it more if they went the route of Final Fantasy and make every game have a different story and not have them age as drastically as they did with 5. ...
Another Nintendo is sad/doomed article?
though I really hate DLC characters for a fighting game too, Bayonetta (or megaman/lyndis/Ray MK/ Isaac) are characters I would definitely pay for. I'd go out and break my DLC boycott for an AMAZING FEMALE CHARACTER.
(I hate DLC characters for fighting games because characters are needed in fighting games. Even the crappy ones. Harada put it best, Fighting game characters are like chess pieces. You don't have a complete fighting game without those pieces. Things like ...
I can't wait to play this game and I do hope that Bayonetta makes it into Smash bros in some way...even if it's a crappy assist trophy.
(I hate assist trophies because they're a tease of what character's COULD have been playable. Isaac...Lyndis...Ray MK...)
Nice review of the game. I just recently played through a good chunk of it myself and found it...really dull. The events presented and the grunt battles were very expected. It's not a bad game, technically, but it's not that fun. My main problems were the grunts. They have too much hp to the point where it was a test of patience rather than a real challenge. Sometimes the enemies would glitch and be under the floor or in the air...stuck. The story wasn't all that interesting eithe...
I would really like it be like power stone...Now that's a 4 player party/fighting game I miss. Fun times...
1) Metal Gear 4 (Sold me to the ps3)
2) Valkyria Chronicles
3) Ni no Kuni
4) Ninja Gaiden Sigma series
5) Being able to play Japanese games without modding the console! (Another Century's episode R, Initial D, ETC!!)
I'd argue that the new Tomb Raider re-ignited the interests for more female protagonists. Back in the nes era, there weren't a lot of female leads...that weren't getting kidnapped. Alice from Phantasy Star and Samus from Metroid did exist in that era, but didn't really spark much talk or controversy. When The first tomb raider happened, that really caused other game developers to look into making more female leads and there was a steady increase. From Joana Dark, Shion/Kos-mo...
Skies of Arcadia HD/Remake
Valkyria Chronicles
Sonic and Sega all-stars Battle Royal?
Yakuza
Golden Axe!
Out run!
Vanquish 2!
Phantasy Star online 2 for Ps3!
Space channel 5-3!
Shenmue collection and 3!
Exactly. And to call this the greatest game of this generation...talk about over hyping a game! It's that same hype that will make gamers expect more than what the game has to offer and...might disappoint several people.
There are several games that are the "best" of this generation...but I can't name just 1 single game that defined this generation. Journey, ni no Kuni, Xenoblade, Skyward Sword, Tomb Raider, Deus ex...Those are just the most recent ones! To...
He's not Cg. Slow news week?
I wonder how long this rumor is going to last.
A 6 out of 10 would mean that it's dreadfully average and have some possible glitches and flaws that kill the game. I'd give this game a 7/10 as the lowest possible only passed on what I've SEEN. I'll have to play through it to actually confirm if that 6/10 is justified.
I don't think he was CGI. I'd blow my mind if it was, Troll-jima would get more of my respect for such an amazing stunt.
A console is simply nothing without games. The wii-u just needs amazing games to sell the system as well as good ads.
I hated Dead Island and I'm sure I'll dislike Riptide (Since the whole game seems to be one giant water level). This game won't be missed on the wii-u. Would rather have a Boarderlands 3 on the wii-u than ANOTHER zombie game.
Ah! You must find an N64 and get yourself Turok 64 and Turok 2. I think they're also on PC. Same with Dinocrisis I think. If anything you can just PSN dinocrsis to finish it.
