I was only able to enjoy tabletop war games for a very short period of time when living out in California decades ago. These games are not quite the same but they are close enough when you have nothing else close.
It was a great series that got better as Jaleco released them. Too bad this series didn't continue beyond the Playstation era.
It is a patch that you can download and use on your ROM of SoR2.
Maybe they are just being cheap? It is interesting that they are not doing Sonic 3 and Knuckles. That would be the complete, main, 16-bit games.
Ah, a true fan. Good catch there.
I agree. That is why I gave Bloodlines the edge in our first issue when comparing it to IV on SNES. Bloodlines is just better in every way.
@OoglyBoogly I have covered this from the first announcement of it. My first article was February 18th, 2015. Mike made the first public announcement earlier that week (I think on the 16th). It was in development for at least six months prior to that, possibly longer so yeah - about two years or so, minimum.
Doubtful, at least under the name "Coleco Chameleon" as the people that own the name "Coleco" have given RETRO Video Game Systems till Wednesday to provide the prototypes to Coleco for inspection. Currently no word from RVGS Inc on this situation (I have heard the owner is vacationing but cannot prove it).
It is only getting worse. I have several more articles coming that expose a lot more of the crap from people that were there in the middle. Interviews from key people for instance. This is a total mess.
This is not an actual sequel to Aerobiz. I compared them since they were very similar- this is like a spiritual successor to that classic Koei game. If you enjoyed Aerobiz, there is a lot to like in Transporter Flight Simulator.
There were two Tiny Toon Adventures games on NES and I believe we saw at least one on SNES to compliment the Genesis version here, if anyone is interested.
Also, Amazon Prime has Animaniacs on Prime Video for streaming.
Glad to be of service. I have been writing articles like this for nearly a decade. Sad not many others are interested in this type of article for retro sites as they are great trips through nostalgia land.
@Deadgara No, this is not an official port by Konami, it is not endorsed or supported in any way.
I am working with a group to make ports like this official, legal, releases though. It just takes time and money to get the license and to work with developers to finish these things.
I am doing my best to document as much of it as I possibly can. There are literally 75+ new games released, or close to it, in the last decade, or so, alone.
Eh, for people like me that don't know but was out for a while on PC and the like might be one reason. Oh well. You got me with your comment.
This does look interesting though they have not shown enough game play in the video. Still interesting.
Yes. This is covered in the news article there. Awesome game.
I think it was marketing. Commodore was pushing Amiga computers on business when it was gamers they should have been pushing them to. Had they marketed these right we might have had a different history here.
If I have my way Dragon's Castle will be on as many platforms as there are fans that want to see it.
Which makes it weirder that Warner Bros made this game in the first place. It is nothing like the movie.
