Will it sell well? Not sure—but I'm optimistic about the Vita as a platform. I don't think one title will be the end all be all for the Vita but it will take a collection of games for it to end up successful. And Vita should have a solid FPS in its lineup. Is this one it? Haven't played it yet (obviously), but let's hope for the developers that it's solid enough to hold its own. Personally I'm more excited about titles like Killzone, Persona 4 and Soul Sacrifice, not t...

What do you mean? I think you presume too much about my character—please do not throw me in a category—I'm a gamer, are you upset about the article? Then direct your attention at the source because right now you sound like a hater.

I read the headline and thought to myself "why oh why must we do this everyday." Then I read the article and was reminded that there is good in the world. Thanks for the humour in this article—both services are great IMO.

Damn title made me click. Next time I'm going through the comments.

Exactly, I hope these games do well and the Vita does well (as all major consoles should). There is a lot of potential with the Vita. Right now I see a lot of similarities between the PS3's release and the Vita's. If the Vita follows the same path as the PS3, than it's future is bright. If it goes under then it would definitely be a shame.

The Vita will do fine, I've been playing mine quite a bit since February and the future looks bright. I don't understand why some of these journalists keep acting as if the Vita is on life support. Do they not want it to succeed? I mean, that can only mean less games for us. Oh wait, I forgot about the fact that the article needs hits. My bad...

LOL I'm not saying the Transformers game is going to be bad and I hope it's good for the developers sake. But I don't agree that taking a licensed property with a large fanbase is as big a risk as creating a completely new IP from scratch. I think you're making a whole lot of assumptions about what I'm trying to say about this article. No hate from me over here—I just want to encourage developers to create new experiences. No bubbles burst here and you didn't prove any...

If it's done in good taste and can tell the story accurately, I think this game can play a role informing the general public, rather than (hopefully not) using the source material as a means to simply "glorify" the recent events. IMO it has to be done in a mature way. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the info—my interest is renewed!

If making a licensed Transformers game is a risk to you then I rest my case.

Wages & Brich: You did read the part where I said "any game part 9" right? That does mean any game. Just because I have a Mario avatar doesn't mean I don't think the same about that series as well.

The hurt is strong with you.

As far as I know the article wasn't about Mario, try staying on topic so you can debate the issues presented instead of bashing avatars.

Yeah, not so into the circle pad as it should've been on this one but whatever. Bigger screen is a good idea, its just that it happened so soon!

The headline acts as if the Vita is on life support when in reality the people who own a Vita (including me) are mostly very happy with their purchase. There's a lot to play as well when you consider the back catalogue of PSP games on PSN. That being said I'm excited about the future of the Vita with the announced games. Give it some time to grow people—and a few marketing dollars wouldn't hurt either.

I agree, they could've avoided all this unnecessary backlash if they went with a spin-off. And why Ninja Theory? I'm not hating—but Let Ninja Theory make their own games and create their own franchises.

I commend them for taking a creative risk and having the balls to stick by their guns, but looking back in hindsight, this was probably not the right franchise to do it with.

I hope for Ninja Theory that the game scores favourably. I'm sure they...

I would get this right away for PS3 if I didn't have to buy the game and then pay the monthly fee also. Include a 30 day voucher at least!

No reason to hate here, Battle Royale is looking good. I think it would be cool to have the old Dante in there as a costume swap though or dare I say DLC?

4423d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Hey Activision—create a new franchise for a change, take some risks here and there and have the decency to call it like it is. When you find less people are playing your game, it's because they are playing something else. That's what happens when you make any game part 9. How can you expect anyone to be excited about a "part-nine?" The franchise makes loads right now but what happens after that? Too many eggs in one basket—it's longtime they branched out.

Why'd they have to make that screen so big? Now I have to trade-up...

No reason to jump the gun here. Actually it's exactly what I expected, COD on the go—what more do we want? When can we all just sit back and be happy that COD is on the Vita? And is it really under fire by Vita owners? After a couple of outspoken message board posters have a tantrum about a game they know nothing about? Come on now, let's get real here and give the devs a chance. If they mess up THEN let's get out the torches and pitchforks.

Maybe not packed in for free as you mentioned but a download code for a discounted price would work. That would be incentive enough for me, and potentially more publishers would jump on board.
