I'm glad the kill-based achievements are worth so little and take so little to complete. The one problem with Gears is that people are obsessed with kills. People will either take all of the kills for themselves, or they will throw a hissy fit if you accidentally kill someone they downed, even if you were trying to save them. It keeps the game from being as fun and team-oriented as it should be, although it does give you impetus to play a LOT of games.

You have a really good point.

Very nice.

It's a very crummy argument. Just because in World War 3 churches were destroyed it's somehow OK to act irreverently toward something which people feel is sacred? It really has to do with respecting other people and their traditions and beliefs. For example, if your favorite sister with whom you were very close died, then her grave would be sacred to you. Now if someone made a video game which happened to portray that part of the graveyard with lifelike realism, to the extent that it actually...

Quake Wars will definitely be different than Unreal. You can download the previous title, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, for free, and see for yourself. It's very strategic, definitely not a run-and-gun game. So I think Quake Wars will rock.

I agree... I can see the Wii's appeal for social gaming, or for children, but I don't really see it being something I'm dying to play by myself--so I don't really care if my xbox has motion sensing. I love the controller it has already.

And when I played tennis on the wii I thought it was pretty stupid. As long as you move it a little it counts as a swing and it's so darn easy to hit the ball, that if I wanted to play tennis, I would much rather get a racket and go play. I don'...

I am INCREDIBLY depressed by this list. I only have an xbox 360 (for lack of funds) and I do not consider August 21 (Bioshock) and Sept 4 (Mass Effect) to be summer. Heck, I fly back to school on the 20th (although school doesn't start for some time after that). I am looking forward to Overlord, though.

Sweet. I love playing annex but I hate thinking it isn't adding up to something.

I wish I knew what "tweaking" with the lancer meant--making it stronger or weaker? I'm one of the few that uses it all the time, so I'm hoping for stronger.

I'm sure the new engine will be amazing and innovative. Carmack doesn't settle for less.

In the last patch, the major glitches were all fixed: weapon sliding, chainsaw glitch, glitch movement. I haven't played much lately but last I saw it was a HUGE improvement. I don't think ghosting is that big of an issue either in the games I've been in, but I am not a clan player. But I think in ranked matches the camera views are disabled and all you can do is follow a teammate. That's fine; I mean, you can't see anything more than they can see. And it would suck to stare at nothing but bl...

I agree with the first comment on the page: "Has anyone on that staff actually played the FO games? They actually get paid for this? Hilarious! :D" Those commentators are ridiculous! I don't think I'll have a heart attack if the game turns out to be first-person, but I don't think there's any need to abandon third-person turn-based just because those critics want to walk around and explore. They don't get that Fallout isn't about the beautiful, it's about the tragic. It's not about ...

You may not like watching DVDs on your laptop big_tim, but most college students do--and college students are a huge market for laptops. When you're out of state and poor, laptops are a great way to watch movies with friends, especially because you can do it anywhere.

The popularity of watching movies on laptops is shown also by the prevalence of widescreen laptops these days.

SWEET. I'm excited. I love Fallout but I have a sucky computer, so having it on 360 will be awesome. I don't think there's really any reason it needs to be on PC. It's not like you ever use the keyboard except for menu shortcuts.

I'll take your word on it, Silver360, but I have to see it to believe it.

Bizarre, Just bizarre.

Americans tend to develop robotics for the sake of doing things, performing tasks, fnctionality. The Japanese, on the other hand, have a fascination with robots that look human. I remember a while ago reading an article about a Japanese professor who made a robot of himself that looked a LOT like him, and he would have it sit in on classes for him, and he would monitor what it sees and hears remotely. Why he didn't just go to the class himself is beyond m...

I still think Mass Effect looks like Star Wars altered just enough that the company doesn't have to pay Lucas royalties. It's got its own force powers, the machines look like Star Wars, the aliens look like Star Wars, the world looks like Star Wars, and the only thing it's missing is light sabers.

I may be a crazed religious fanatic with an unpopularly high sense of absolute morality, but I still think light/dark side differentiations are stupid. I liked what was in Fable (alth...

If you read the comments below the product there's question after question about whether this is a scam, lol. The seller continually reassures everyone, "This is a real company, I am a real person, we're registered in Louisana." I guess opening your business with a suspiciously good offer on expensive electronics may be a little difficult.

Eh...
I love RPGs, but I hate how Star-Wars-ish this game looks.
