I always wanted the White Gran Turismo one they showed off but never released, but I don't need Darth Vader on my PSP.
But even a white PSP with nice small changes is not worth buying a 2nd PSP for. I'll stick with my original.
The article said the 4 controllers hook in though 1 USB slot, does that mean they will work with the PS3 also? Or is this going to be another Guitar Hero debacle?

I (and others) won't buy one until Falcon is out.
$50 off does not make up for calling in an RMA, going and shipping out your system, waiting a few gameless weeks to get it back, then receiving a refurbed unit and not your original box back. And who knows how many times you would have to go through that cycle.
They're so close to releasing the new hardware, I have no idea why anyone would go for this. Just wait a few more weeks for 65nm...
Go back with your reciept and make them pricematch it. If it was only a day ago, and the new price is cheaper get your $$$ back from them. Worst case scenario, return yours, get the full credit and buy the cheaper one.

Yeah, the mushroom king is talking about drugs in games.. Maybe if he looked into the game more, he'd know that one of the central parts of the game is that the drug (Nectar) turns out to be something bad.
Great summary. The then/now is a good list, I remember with the original xbox they slammed the PS2 for not having a HD(then), then decided they didn't need one (Core, not quite as "then"), to same games will require it (now).

You can kinda understand his comments, how many times is Sony supposed to throw themselves on the sword here? They're addressing the development issue with EDGE, and will be working with developers to make things better (i.e. Unreal Engine optimized for PS3 announcement).

I think we can all argee that specialized devices will provide a higher quality experience than a generalized one, but there are other factors to consider. For a ad agency, print could be their main gig, so they need that uber-printer, and same for the sound guy with Sennheiser headphones.

I would think Forza2 would be GT5's competition, not PGR4. PGR4 seems like it would complete more with the need for speed, juiced kinda arcade game more than the sim style. Kudo's and stunts on the bikes and all.. (I'll still buy it though...)

Most editors say "it's not a good sign when they don't send us a copy for review". While I agree with that in general, if they abuse that privilege (yes PRIVILEGE) of getting the games before the "gold public" release, I could see developers cutting them off for "risk management" purposes.
