I really hope that they've been given more creative freedom to build something they are actually proud of, instead of what they've been pushing on gamers lately.
When the Doctors left, I assumed the worst for the company, but articles like this make me wish I was wrong. It's so difficult to trust in anything they say since the EA acqusition basically made them the polar opposite of everything the company once stood for.
I really wish this was a PS4 title.
It was set during E3 but Sony didn't want to blow their load at one event...
Nothing wrong with diablo 3 in its current state, and the console versions have even better drop rates and the removal of the auction house that so many people hated.
It will fail in the sense that it won't outsell the PS4 but selling out launch consoles MONTHS before release is not news worthy.
Launch consoles basically always sell out. I don't understand how this is praise worthy at all.
"Cloud power" equals click bait. Nothing in there specifically discussing the cloud power. Based on the interview they're using it as a dedicated server so they can push updates faster to the players based on feedback. That's the power of dedicated servers and developer ambition, not some mythical powerful cloud of computers.
Many developers will admit they make more money going F2P. People buy stuff on those micro transaction stores like crazy. I know people that literally set aside $50 a month for consumables.
I know Bioware/EA saw a huge boost once they went F2P for SWTOR.
Guy was kind of rude. Didn't seem to have a lot of interest in what the developer was saying and showing.
Won't happen. It's sadly already been proven that gamers will be the same price for boxed and digital sales.
WTF are you talking about. It plays just like Diablo. You kill mobs by the dozens, you kill bosses, and you collect lots of loot.
The only difference they made was the skill system no longer forces you to reroll every time you want to try something new. You also get credit for killing elite packs and bosses which gives you a stacking buff up to five that gives you additional experience, gold find and magic find boosts.
Not my family since I won't be buying one.
They fixed what was wrong with the game by removing the auction house, fixing item drops and giving people an offline play for the console versions.
Your statement doesn't really carry a lot of weight.
I didn't make any comparisons, stupid. I stated that the console version doesn't have the drawbacks from the PC version - that is a fact.
Delaying this game only lessens interest in it. Launch is the perfect time too much awesome coming out in 2014 for people to want to play an old game.
The console version doesn't have the drawbacks that the PC version has. You can't make some sweeping statement that the game sucks since it's not comparable to the PC version.
More concerned with him stating that next gen consoles would be launching before the game did. Spoiler release possibly? I thought this game was a lock for a launch day title...
I stick with playstation platforms and do just fine every generation.
I have had no issues with it except for it not syncing with my age settings. What do you mean buggy/slow?
It's really cool how they viewed trophy information to determine which direction to take Second Son. I wish they could have used our Infamous 2 saves (I went with the bad ending), but I gotta give them props for taking the time to look at the data available and writing a story around the most popular option.
Looking forward to playing this game!
