It's really hard to sell 70+ million consoles prior to release. I can understand why someone would claim they're falling short of previous gen consoles.
Hopefully, in four or five years they can catch up.

This game will not be able to compete in the F2P market. They're trying to create a single player experience, which will cause a mass exodus of players a month or two after launch.
SWTOR went through the same problems. You cannot make a MMO with a paid subscription service and have it focus on non-MMO systems.
If they was the case they would have simply upgraded Cell. Cerny purposefully didn't do this because Cell was a clusterf*** processor that developers couldn't get a grasp of.
They're able to port code over because the PS4 can brute force it. Naughty Dog is simply going to have to put in additional effort to tune their engine for the PS4. They're not even going to be able to use the same compilers.

This is good news. Maybe they'll finally make this series better.
I'm very worried. Their current engines were built for an overly complex cell processor not standard x86 configuration.
I'd rather they built something appropriate to the hardware then try to excessively modify existing work.
Won't be project titan. Blizzard already pulled it from Blizzcon and delayed it a few years.

Move/camera will not be required for AAA games. Gamers have proven that they don't care for the goofy camera/kinect games so my purchase is $399 plus my PS Plus subscription.
I'll be getting everything I want out of the console with that purchase.

Unified memory was not a factor in poor early performance and a lack of support.
Cell was overly complicated. It caused the vast majority of the problems.
The complexity of programming on Cell held the PS3 back. It had hardly anything to do with the console's non-unified memory pool.
I'm sure the first of which will be a bunch of Microsoft paid timed exclusives and other ignorant nonsense.
I really wish publishers would stop doing exclusive stuff for games on platforms. Let gamers decide what succeeds or fails based on sales, don't let console manufacturers try and sway it.

You're wrong. Sony never said what amount of ram was for gaming. It was an assumption that we gamers went with.
I was unaware that the train ever stopped on amazon. I thought preorders were still in eeffect even before this news over there.
I've swapped to console gaming. I enjoy sitting in the living room in a more relaxed environment.
Otherwise I'd get it on PC.
