That article was posted Aug of 2006... Before the ps3 was even out... We still dont know the limitations of the ps3 let alone before it was released. Ea may see some life at the end of the tunnel for the ps3
exactly. If blu-ray isnt needed by this winter.. it will be by 2008.. maybe even 2009. So is MS going to come out with a new system within that time? It kinda looks like they will have to.

I think most of us can agree the only reason why the PS3 came out last winter and not this winter is because they had to. They would have loved to come out this winter but they needed their foot in the door.
He's also right about why someone would buy a console for 200 bucks more if many of the games right now are coming out on both consoles and looking equally good on both. (it is a bit near sighted though)

Better AI, graphics, and damage? I am sure GT wont disappoint this gen... but if all they have is better graphics it is hardly next-gen.

It is really stupid not to have a damage system on GT5. What will be so next gen about it? The tracks? I dunno... something should change. I guess the graphics? This should be implemented though.

you can scratch blu-ray discs all day and they will still play... unlike the DVD.
Your not missing anything. Trust me. I have a 61" 1080p samsung dlp and couldnt tell the difference... its not HD. Enjoy the game; its fun.
