The overuse on the Batmobile in PUZZLES is what grinds my gears.
Its just a silly mechanic and the developers forgot to "find the fun" in those sections.
The rest of the game is a ton of fun.
Both great games in their own right, but I found Witcher 3 more compelling in terms of narrative both main and side quests.
Everything felt so natural.
A game called Doom where you kill demons in hell is violent! Water is wet, news at 6.
It is silly that Bungie is doing this as it continues the trend of Bungie dumping on the most dedicated players.
However,
The sad thing is that its working...As much bitching and moaning the internet is doing, the cold hard reality of the market is there is a demand for the product Bungie offered.
In the end, all a consumer can do is vote with their wallet...The consumers spoke, and they opened their wallets.
I sure as hell ...
Yes, it is stupid that it is hard getting a raid group withouth a ghorn.
But it just saves time. You can be an average to bad player, but if you have a ghorn, there is likely some strategy that will utilize the space on the team.
A person without the ghorn may be a far better player, but why take that chance?
You just want to get through something as quick as possible.
I hope they actually take some liberties with the game.
If it is just a graphical update, well, I mean, thats well and good but wont excite me all too much.
If they put a modern spin on the materia system, maybe even play around with the story to give me something fresh, I'd be much more excited.
As much as I love nostalgia (and it seems the current generation really loves nostalgia) I'm well aware I will never replicate the feeling I...
I have wondered since Demon's what a true open world would look like in the vein of the Souls series.....
Then I realized, its King's Field.
So yeah, if Miyazaki can capture some of the level design of THE Souls game with the openess of Kings Field, we will once again be looking at a masterpiece.
I have complete faith in Miyazaki right now, so what ever he wants to do, I'm buying it day one.
Yup, exactly this.
Microsoft did some great things this E3. It was as close to a Mia Culpa as one could expect. Backwards capadibility, Halo 5, Gears 4, Tomb Raider will make it a strong offering going into this holiday season. These announcments would usually "win" E3 and most people were really impressed after the conference.
Then came Sony. Holy Eff. Though they did leave a gap for this holiday season (and I do think Xbox gains some ground), ...
This game has ALOT going for it.
I think this game has a lot of potential, but they need to show what the "purpose" of the game is real quick.
Yes, I realize that we are trying to get to the center of the universe (or whatever), but show the systems on how to get there.
This has to be one of the most unpredictable E3's ever.
Is this real life?!
Perhaps this is the last "Dark" Souls game, but I sincerely doubt that this style of game (as evidenced by Bloodborne) will be abandoned by From Software.
From struck gold with the "Souls" style of game and I'm sure that will continue.
Ps4 has a BIG hill to climb on this one.
With that PsNow kinda messing up, it seems they bet on the wrong horse.
I hope they get it ironed out.
That said, backwards compatibility isn't the BIGGEST deal ever.
The only issue I have with a voiced protagonist is that a big draw of the Fallout universe to me is the zany dark humor and it may be difficult for a Voice Actor to really nail that.
I mean, Fallout is pretty much a black comedy kinda game for the most part, and reading that stuff or reading the goofy dialogue, selecting it and seeing what unfolds, is easier to imagine in whatever voice you choose rather than having someone say it. (The Bioware surprise syndrome).
...
Witcher has done the best job so far of making the majority of the main quest and side quest really intertwine in a compelling and interesting way. Yes, there is room for improvement. At least some of your decisions effected game world.
Skyrim has some okay quests, but none I felt were as compelling as Witcher. Most did not feel interconnected in any way and worse, any decision did not feel like it effected the game world at all.
Baldur's gate still st...
Well, I am first off glad that we now have another major Western developer making RPGs. CDProjektRed has proved they are among the big boys now, so we will be able to enjoy their games for awhile.
As for a head to head comparison with Bioware and CDProjektRed its not completely fair. CDProjekt is using a combat system that is not party based and is more in-line with popular gaming trends.
Bioware has lost a little "soul" of its games. DA:I look...
Wow, what a sensationalist headline.
The guy was merely expressing his problems with game distribution. Almost ALL products go through the same thing when it comes to box stores.
As irritating as digital distribution can be, it does allow for a platform to bypass this.
I don't have any problem with this trailer because I do think it is being very honest and representative of what we are going to get.
Bethesda has never been known for being a big graphical powerhouse, but instead for creating big open worlds that nail atmosphere. Pretty good story tellers as well (in their earlier works).
Its difficult to put that sense of exploration in a trailer.
The game is great, but I don't know....I felt the combat irritating by the end and had no interest in completting all the side quests.
I hate that you can't just keep moving the side quests along and have to wait for the next mission to pop up. Just let me play the damn game, especially when its just boring side quests (not the fun villian oneS).
That irritated me more than anything.
