My goodness, Im surprised that anyone laughs anymore.

Some gamers do, yes. The passionate minority do.

The vast majority doesn't particularly care so long as the game is fun.

So really, what happens is you get some out there games that have a cult following among the enthusiasts that have their best parts copied or simplified for more causal release.

This will come down to one thing (as it seems the tech is there), games and support.

If they can get a big awesome FPS and a big awesome wRPG (type) game, and they rock...then that will be it. VR will be a big part of gaming. Miss, and, well...it wont.

Monster Hunter is really the itch we all need scratched on consoles.

Maybe one day...

Well, it may not be sent to die, but it will have some competition fighting Fallout 4.

Certainly if you put a product out there for money, then you open yourself up to some criticism.

However, the backlash against these guys is really heavy for a small indie developer. This is not UbiSoft or EA.

This game game is a triumph in today's gaming space.

I loved every second, and was still sad when it ended.

Though there are some fun games out there that are social...multiplayer...all that fun stuff....This is a game (and it is shown) that you thrown on the headphones and dissapear into world for hours at a time.

Lost Odysseey and Blue Dragon were victims of simply being on the wrong platform.

If they had released the games on ps3, I think we would have seen a few more rpgs in the past generation and this one.

Ha, it was so bad it was good. (Of course, he had some tough lines to deliver).

Thats a pretty solid list right there. Might re-arrange a few, but a good list.

(No way FFXV comes out next year, but hey...keep on keepin on).

I LOVED Red Dead Redemption. I want another one.

Sure, the era's are fun, but if there is a good narrative, they can certainly revisit certain era's of "cowboy." I mean, there aren't that many. Beginning (vaquero), golden, and ending (industrial). That's pretty much it. So they will just need to really give the narrative some thought. The redemption story is a classic western, so they are going to have to really work on that part.

I fired Destiny up for the first time in months to set the table for TTK (get all bounties leveled up and completed...get vanguard and other factions as close to leveling up as possible).

I tell you, regardless of the "hamster wheel" that the game is, that gameplay is really quite great and I enjoyed it.

That was actually a pretty good article on Destiny.

There really were some terrible design choices in vanilla destiny that have since been rectified. IMO, the grind came with the fact you could only 5 bounties at a time and had to "material farm."

These two things really extended the grind to an absurd level for a game light on content. To level up your gear in any reasonable amount of time, you had to log in every day for the bounties. To get al...

HAHA, I mean, really...it kind of sounds the same.....Just less base.

Thats really not a bad list. There are certainly "better" games out there, the games listed have been copied and followed throughout the whole industry.

I may have added Oblivion/Skyrim/Fallout over Mass Effect 2 as many developers have chased "open" world and are taking some cues from them. (Yes, I know Morrowind is better than the ones I listed).

Because it is a blast to play with friends and the gameplay is buttery smooth.

Defiled Dungeon Watchdog.

Damn thing is tough. I hit an almost zen like trance to finally beat it.

All depends on how much value you put on the stuff I guess. Its not like you are really buying anything of material build value.

That said, usually if Nintendo or Atlus puts out a CE, you can pick it up and sell it if you want to flip it.

Picked this up for 20 bucks, its a solid game.

Never played FC3, but this on its own is alot of fun. Def. worth 20 bucks.
