Yup. There is a big difference between helping enforce a NDA and simply censoring commentary.
I mean, the decision to make the call to support both generations for a bit was made years before the "current gen" launched.
Back in those days, folks were all clamoring saying "the home console is dead" kinds of things. I think the speed in which this generation grew surprised most people.
But yeah, As AudioEppa said....yep.
I agree with the sentiment. If you are going to voice the character (and essentially choose the story for him), make it compelling.
Bethesda tried the "half-in (voiced main) half-out (blank slate) approach and it didn't quite work IMO.
Still a great game, and I am enjoying it.
IMO, "gameplay" is the sum of all parts in how the game "feels."
Movement, controls, collision detection, visual demonstration of collision, sound, animation, enemies, enemy reaction, art design, all come together IMO to form "gameplay."
The Souls games/Bloodborne are great examples of this. Call of Duty and Destiny are pretty good about this. The games FEEL good to shoot.
Witcher is a great example of a game ...
Gawd, don't tease me about Red Dead 3.
Im with you. Fallout 4 is really going to have to bring the "A" game to dethrone Witcher as my favorite open world game this year.
I mean, if you play Fallout for a "shooter" then you will be very disappointed.
If you play it for the atmosphere, perks, quests, exploration, then you will likely enjoy the game.
But hey, everyone likes what they like!
Merely putting "J" in front of RPG does not mean it is a turn-based game in the vein of the traditional sense "JRPG."
In other words, I sincerely doubt that Sony and From are teaming up to make a turn-based traditional JRPG.
Could be a new IP, could be Demon's or Bloodbore 2.
I, for one, wouldn't mind a First Person perspective like Kings Field (if they can get it to work).
Regardless, if Miy...
I mean, to compare it with MGSV is not really a fair comparison IMO. Fallout 4 is much better compared to Witcher 3.
As such, man, Witcher 3 is awesome. That world building and writing was excellent along with a very pretty game. Especially one of that size.
Bethesda, while turning out great games..(i.e. Morrowind) really benefited from being one of the first guys to really make the true open world games. However, that space now has become crowded. <...
It made its mark because it was popular.
It made FPS popular on consoles forever changing the console market.
Was it original? No...but few very "popular" games are. They take the creativeness of games before it, improve it, and made it appeal to everyone. (Not saying for one second this is bad..)
Truly "original" games don't sell a bazillion copies.
I want to play this game and will, but with Fallout 4 right around the corner, it just doesn't make sense to jump in right now.
They got so much right about the TTK right before the endgame content.
The leveling up was good. The light levels (up to about 290 or so) was good and predictable.
Then, all of a sudden the endgame flaws really showed. There were no real "weeklies" any more. The nightfall is really not worth running even after the buff. The raid drops and progression are not only RNG based but DOUBLE Rng based. You not only need a piece of armor to drop, you n...
Yeah, the inventory and horse sucked, but I easily forgave it for the great world building, interesting characters and story.
Combat was alright. Better than most open world RPGs, not as good as many open world games.
TTK does a lot to minimize the frustration that many players felt in vanilla Destiny. They have added more content, taken away some of the crazy reliance on RNG for EVERYTHING (though it is still there to some extent), and now you can log on, do a few things and more the ball forward.
Its good. But now, I want a full fledge Destiny 2 current gen consoles. Lets really get things going.
I have enjoyed starting the leveling process again and not just simply chasing exotics.
It really is a fun game now and a far cry from a year ago.
Yeah, as soon as I saw it announced, I didn't bother reading anything other than looking for a collectors edition to buy.
Miyazaki is one of the greatest developers of all time.
From Software on its own was solid, but it took Miyazaki to catapult it to rockstar status.
It has been a long year for Destiny, but it seems they really put it together. I have been enjoying the content quite a bit.
I mean, it doesn't REALLY fix the light level thing.
Sure, it will feel better to hit the level cap, but without a high light level, you will still be locked out of the end-game content.
Im sure that the LFG sites will quickly have "light level" requirments instead of "level 40" or whatever.
LOL, that's just...BWAHAHAHA.
I was expecting a comparison of the features, systems, dialog (yeah, that dialog system), story..yada yada...instead, left with an LOL.
